What type of product or service do you offer?

How long have you been in business?
1.5 years…we are changing names from Deja Vu Photography…we want a new name and look that truly reflects us.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We are looking to modify our business plan and identity…we want to convey fun, fresh, hip, but we also want to attract more high end clients...and we want people to know they are getting two professionals.

What are your long term goals?
We want and are breaking more into wedding photography. We’d like to concentrate more on that side of the business, and let the portrait side fall where it may.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Middle Class working families for the portrait side…we’d like to bring in more upper class clients. The wedding side of business, we are attracting middle to upper class couples, and we’d like to continue to attract upper class couples.

Who would you like to add to your audience? More high end clients.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? We like fun and hip, but nothing too frilly. We like clean lines, but not so clean that is boring. Handwritten fonts area favorite. There needs to be some element of fun.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) We do not have specific colors in mind…right now we are using white, pink, and a turquoise blue. Our only requirement is that it meshes well with black. Our website is black and most of our marketing materials are as well. We’d like to keep it that way.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? Something that emphasizes that there are two people in this business…we are great friends, both women.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We want our clients to look at our logo and see our personalities shining through…hip, fresh, fun.

What is your tagline or slogan? We don’t really have one.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? We’ve been in business now for almost two years, and we are ready to really get an identity that reflects us. We want our clients to know that we are serious…moving forward, but we want our fun personalities to show, too. We are really fun gals. J

Where will your new logo be used? On our website, business cards, and other marketing materials.




What sets you apart from your competitors? The main thing that sets us apart from all of our competitors is that there are two photographers in this business. We shoot all sessions together, so our clients are getting the work of both of us…we do a lot of laughing at our sessions. J

Thank you for your design. However, this is not the direction we want to go. It's too animated, perhaps thats the word I'm looking for. I'm not very good with descriptions, sometimes, so I hope that doesn't hinder my ability to convey what we want. We do want something bold and fun, but at the same time something professional. I'll try to find some examples of things we like. Thanks again!

And colors do not have to be pink. That was just one of the colors we were currently using...we are open to any and all colors.

I've been looking around...I like flowing lines and clean lines. We'd really like to incorporate two figures, two cameras, something into this logo...something we could use as a stand alone watermark. I want to stress again that we want to respresent fun but professional. I attached a few examples of things I like...not sure if they'd work for us or not...but in any case, there are some ideas of things I like. I'm anxious to see more designs!

I really like the direction you are taking with these. I'd like to see it loosened up some...girly it up. Its too stiff right now, but I really think you are on to something. :)

thank you for your design. I like what you've done with the "o" in focus, but its still not what we are looking for. maybe with a different font and color, I'd like it better. We really want to emphasize that there are two photographers more than emphasizing focus. Thank you!

we really like the font in version 1, but the icon isn't doing it for us. if we could see something with two stick figures or two cameras with this font and layout, I think that would be something we'd like. And possibly making the word FOCUS a tiny bit slimmer...just slightly.

Also...from now on could we see all designs on black and white. Our website is black so we want to have an idea of what that would look like.

I really like this design, thank you...can I see some color variations. I don't like the pink and blue...I think girl and boy. I'd like to see some different, bolder colors.

I'd also like to see a variation on the way the figures are "intertwined"...maybe a little less intertwined. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it makes me think more of hubby/wife duo than two friends...although, that could be because I'm seeing it in pink and blue.

so version 1 with different, bolder colors.

and a variation of version 1 with less criss crossing.

thank you for your designs. we aren't digging the birds...I like them..just not for us.

I do like the cameras...but I'm not sold on those. I'd like to see less square, boxy cameras, even though obviously thats what cameras look like, ha...but something more free flowing. I do love the font and colors you chose though.

thank you for your designs...you are starting to head more in the direction we want to go. I still think the cameras in both of these designs are too boxy...I just want something more flowy...Idk if thats possible with cameras.

I also think the cameras in these are a little overpowering in relation to the size of the text.

I like the colors of version 4 better than version 3, but the text and layout in version 4 seems to busy to me.

I'm not really certain that I want any revisions to these designs...I'm just not sold on these, but I like the direction you are starting to take...if you have any other ideas, I'd love to see them.

I'm still not sure if its what we are going for...but...I do like those cameras better than the ones you posted before...I don't care for the font at all though and, I think thats whats keeping me from liking it more...or the uneven line at the bottom (the one with our names in it). Could I see these cameras with different font? And possibly make the cameras different colors from one another...also, the pink is to hot pink or something...maybe a pink that has a hint more red in it?? Thank you!

I talked with my biz partner...I am still really sold on this font, but she pointed out that the way "the" is positioned could be confusing and read as "the twice focus"...and I do agree...it could be confusing for those who don't know our name.

I also still find the cameras are just not quite right. We are really drawn to the cameras in Taldo's design...but we love your font.

If you have any other revisions or ideas, we'd love to see them.

we love the colors in version two, but upon seeing the figures uncrossed, I do think we liked them better the original way...sorry to be a pest. We'd like to see that...and could you work our names in there somehow. Melissa Bell & Sarah Berry...in any order. I am really not crazy about how "the focus" is so centered in this one with the negative space on each side.

We adore the cameras in version 3...they are just what we've been wanting to see. Could we see a few color variations in there? Something a little brighter and bolder, like your version 2 colors? And also our names in there, too?

We are about 99% sure we want to go with Taldo's two camera design, Version 5. We really like it.

We just want to see a couple revisions first...we like the colors, and aren't totally against them, but were wondering if you had any other combos you could show us? Also, we'd like to see our names worked in there if thats possible.
