Bansko Blog will be a new web site but with the content transfered on to wordpress from my start up site here:

BanksoBlog.com will be a travel website for people visiting Bansko (in Bulgaria) a ski resort and summer mountain destination.BanksoBlog will also be a place for local residents (mainly expatriots) to visit to contribute to the blog and also host audio interviews and video interviews.

The logo needs to have visual impact and appeal to both younger surfers snowboarders as well as not alienting an older/retired age group who may visit in the summer.

It needs to be a logo which will work not just in white (on black) but also as a logo in other colours.

The logo must be seen to be stylish and descriptive of a website so probably needs to say BanskoBlog.com .

A logo something that could be used on T shirts or other materials in the future.

It must have international appeal as the holiday makers are English, Irish, Greek, Macedonain, Serbian, Russian, Turkish, Norwegian etc

What type of product or service do you offer?

We are going to be a portal site for a Bulgarian Ski Town (Bansko). Commissions and affiliates for accommodation to rent, property sales, ski / board hire, lessons, airport transfers , car hire, restaurants, bars, quad bikes mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, nature.



How long have you been in business? 6 months. Although I run a real estate business called Jet2Let Property and a blog OverseasPopertyTalk

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

The logo to have real impact and be memorable and refreshing. This logo will be used on materials and possibly T shirts

What are your long term goals? I want to be the dominant portal in Bansko. Where everyone from visitors to residents go to be informed and to book rooms, hotels, apartments, chalets etc.

There will be interviews, video competitions and lots of audio reviews. A very interactive site that people want to view.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? Designs for new BanskoBlog website. By 11th or 15th Dec latest

Audience Profile:

Presently 50% from UK, 15% Bulgarian and Greek, 10% Irish. current age profile is around 21 to 60. Seriously it must inspire younger boarders but not alienate mature visitors as property buyers are typicaly 35 plus. Skiers dominate but Summer Jazz Festival, Concert and Corporate Entertainment

Who would you like to add to your audience?

Bulgarian locals and especially Greek folks but also Russian (property buyers) as well as Serbian

What type of logo would you like?

Bansko is an old pretty mountain town (see web site for pictures) but is also modern with many new luxury hotels and apartments.

A mix of authoratative and stylish but not too racy that would make people nervous. It is a blog site and reflects many views but people will visit often to look at web cams etc.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) No colours in mind.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? No images or icons.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

Excitement, Outdoors, Tradition, Luxury, Mountain, Bulgarian Tradition

What is your tagline or slogan?

"Your online authority for Bansko"

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

I want people to participate, comment (its a blog), listen and watch. Contribute video. An exciting resource thats always fresh

Where will your new logo be used? Everywhere!
