Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

Rail and Pattern Performance Horse

What type of product or service do you offer?
This will be an online magazine

How long have you been in business?
2 years online - 20 offline

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I want to get horse owners and horse show people to sign up for magazine and then to membership site

What are your long term goals?
run a membership site for horse owners/horse show competitors

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Dec 22

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Horse show people of all ages - but mainly age 25 - 65
Who would you like to add to your audience?
women and men who show horses

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I want to use a horse shoe in the logo...the logo will be used to introduce the magazine

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

I like color but it still has to be able to be blend with the whole theme

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
I want to use a horse shoe and a person on a horse in the theme.

go to www.horseloverstakethereins.com (http://www.horseloverstakethereins.com)

I started to design something here...just so you would have an idea of what I am looking for although it certainly needs to be fixed up some from what I have here.

Also look at http://www.internetmarketingnewsletter.com/index2.php

this is the type of thing I will be developing for the horse show market

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

What is your tagline or slogan?
Just the title:
Rail and Pattern Performance Horse Magazine

may add a tagline later.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

Where will your new logo be used?
online magazine...at this time...but I would want the option of using this logo in print as I might take it offline at some point.
let me know if this is a problem.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

List competitive URLs if possible
none
you might look at www.aqha.com (http://www.aqha.com) to see how they are doing things although this is not a competitor
What sets you apart from your competitors?

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
magazine and membership site for horse lovers

All: thank you for submitting

Outstanding Colors should be blue with other colors mixed in. From the color pallet on Microsoft Front Page the colors are:Hex={33,99,FF} Hex={00,66,CC}
if you don't have front page...these colors are a deep baby blue and then a gray blue look

Giant - I like the way you have done the wording...the colors need to change
the horse needs to change

this horse is a jumping horse...we need more of a flat riding horse in western or english saddle

We may need to get rid of the horseshoe...might try something without it to see if that looks better.

Nutscreative - this doesn't work ..although I think I am the one who led you astray. Please forgive me this is my first post so still learning how to get the message across and still allow for all your creative ideas.

Tyler- I like it...colors need to change.
not sure about the fern look beside the horseshoe

One quick question?

Size of the wording...Do I need to tell you how big I want the wording to be? In other words if I want it to a certain font, can I change that once I get the file or will the font be static in size?

thanks,

When we provide files, the fonts must be converted to outlines -- which basically means they are turned into graphics and are no longer editable as a font.

You will receive editable files from any of the designers, but if you want to make font changes, you will need to purchase the font the designer you choose uses in the designs, since copyright laws & licenses prevent us from providing you with the font.

Giant....
I think if you get rid of the horse altogether and leave me with the words with the line above them. this will work well for me then to add pictures to it as I choose. Ver.3

Also I am unsure exactly what size font to get this in so I am doing some checking to see what size I think would work.

I would want the option of changing the font size as needed..so how can I go about buying the file to do that as well?

All,

These are all quite good. Thank you all for submitting.

I think if Giant can make a couple of changes that what he/she has designed will work well for what I need.

I have several other things I need so please submit.

I will know shortly if the design Giant has supplied will work and will post for sure when I know.

thank you once again,

hi horsepoet,
about the font, the logo is also included with the font design
once a project complete, you will receive several files, including vector files and bitmaps. the font itself is converted, but besides that, those files are editable, including resizing.
thanks :)

Giant...
I like version 4
I wonder if you could change one more color for me just so I can see which looks the best?
Leave the blue as is but make the other color more a rich brown color of font..

thanks.

Hi,

Have you decided to move forward with Giant as the designer?

If so, I can move this to the Revisions forum where you can finish up.

Do I need to do something ?

No; I will move it over. You can now communicate with DJ (Giant) via email or private message if that's more convenient for you.

You are still allowed to request revisions, etc.

Thanks!
