Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Mulberry Photographic
What type of product or service do you offer?
Contemporary wedding photography.
How long have you been in business?
New start up.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Establish a brand for use across all marketing (web, print etc..) that reflects my style (contemporary, stylish, timeless documentary style images) and differentiates me from the much of the local competition (part-time/lacking professional image or brand).
What are your long term goals?
Establish a premier wedding photography business - so no pressure there then.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Friday 9th Jan
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
New start up.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Sophisticate, high-end couples who want to work with a photojournalistic/artistic wedding photographer.
Those who are looking for something different from the run of the mill group shots outside the church.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Simple or clean - something that portrays contemporary, classy and timeless. I don't want anything that is cheesy so please no cameras or oddly enough anything overtly photography related.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Aubergine - no specific reason other than I like it! I am open to suggestions at this stage, this will be the starting point for other material material so nothing is set in stone.
Things I'd prefer to avoid - dark blues and a red and black combo.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Open minded within the criteria stated above.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Beauty, classic, yet modern.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Don't have one at present.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Beautiful, classy, timeless photography, yet modern and professional.
Where will your new logo be used?
Across all material - website and printed
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Much of what I have seen could be described at best as dated, or at worst as amateur.
Hence I want something to compliment my work and to stand out from the competition.
List competitive URLs if possible
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Not the traditional wedding photography.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Borrowed from a previous poster - but I liked it - 'Creatively marrying art and photojournalism.'
Aside from the above, I just wanted to thank you in advance for any work submitted - after finding this site through a referral I have been hugely impressed by the standards produced by the talented individuals working here.
