Here is something similar to the life preserver which I think would work nicely in the O of SOS. Again, this is similar, I just grabbed this from some clipart. I do not want the ropes and want something that looks "higher end"

Thank you for your response. For me this looks too much like a speedy mail delivery service. I am dealing with very design conscious people and want something much more subdued, darker colors, much more higher end looking.
I like the first one better. I think you have the speed thing down, but something with darker colors and a better font to communicate high end and trustworthiness.

Hi, Please see revised attached. Thanks

I like the colors much better in this one.
The font looks a little fat and a little too common. I don't like the 'y'. I'd like something a bit more refined, unique font. It is close.

I really like the concept of v1.
The font makes me think of Nascar.
Can you do this again with a more modern font and also give some 3-D to the life preserver?
Andrew

V1 Combination life preserver + aperture
I like this one. I would like to go a bit darker. I see I am over time.
How do I choose a winner?

Hi, you could extend the deadline so you could ask designers to do the revision until you are happy to narrow down your choice or simply post a winner's name here and which post # you select. :)

Hi, another try. thanks.
I like this idea, but I feel the SOS part is a bit weak compared to the first part.

V1 Combination life preserver + aperture
I really like this one. I feel that the O is a bit busy and am wondering if making the aperture a bit bigger and making the preserver a bit skinnier would make it look cleaner.
Also, I would like a deeper red, more professional looking.

This is nice, but I feel like the life preserver color/3D doesn't match the rest.

Could you explain a little further? I'm not understanding about the 3D not matching.

Sorry; I just saw your feedback. Will work on the revision.
As far as selecting a designer, simply post in the thread which one you decide to work with and we'll move it to the Revisions forums where all the final changes can be made, etc.
Thanks!

Jennifer,
I look forward to seeing the changes. Again, I think I want these changes:
The red to be a bit more upscale looking (a bit darker?)
The life preserver to be thinner and the aperture to be a bit larger
Both the preserver and aperture to have the 3D sheen of the rest of the logo.
Thank you very much.

v2a/2b
Fundy
01-26-2009, 07:11 PM
Jennifer,
I like 2b best. Can you make the red in the logo a bit darker?
And make the aperture a bit larger, and the white strip between the aperture and preserver half the size?
And make all of the letters and words justified, so it is a straight line down the left and right?
Then we are done.
Thank you.

Here are those changes & 2 different reds. I haven't applied the shine to the life preserver yet, but will do that.

Jenny,
I don't mean to be red in the Fundy has way too much purple in it.
Try something with a hex value around: 9E0B0B

Jenny,
I'm sorry. My friend suggested the justifying of the text. He was wrong you are right, can you go back to the original alignment with it tapering from top to bottom?
Andrew
BlueCherryGraphics
01-26-2009, 07:49 PM
OK; will change the alignment back.
re: the red, leave the red in the life preserver as is? Or match it to 9e0b0b too?
Fundy
01-27-2009, 07:16 AM
Let's go with the same red in all of the logo, a deeper red like I have sent you.
Re-align to the tapered shape like before
Make the SOS more 3D like the rest.
Also, soluions on steroids a bit darker
Andrew
BlueCherryGraphics
01-27-2009, 09:50 AM
Here you go; tagline = 15% darker, "shine" on SOS in middle one.

I love the second one. We are done!!
How do I proceed?
