This is an annual fund-raiser event where dog owners can run/walk on a 1 mile or 2 mile route with their dogs through the scenic countryside. Hosted by a popular local health club with proceeds benefiting a local dog groups.
Project Summary:
Correction: The event name "Dog Jog 2009" should be in the logo. The sponsor wants their "K" logo (see attached) embedded somewhere in the logo.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Convey that this is a fun, health, community event for people of all ages and abilities.
What are your long term goals?
To make this a cherished local tradition.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Jan 22nd. Sorry for the short turnaround but we just got sponsorship funding for this event.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Fun, healthy, slight zany
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Sponsor colors are purple and green althought we can use any color combination.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Dogs on leash, runners. It would be fun to have a logo that implies that the dog is in control (see attached photo).
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Running is fun, running with your dog is more fun.
Where will your new logo be used?
Flyers, websites, t-shirts, and dog bandanas
