looking more for a front shot of the lion laying down, with the puppy between it's paws. Love the central image with the logo in the middle.

Would like to see more of a larger, more styalized heart on a visible chain, like something the puppy would have to grow into.

No, preferably not cartoonish. I would like to see simple but clean, identifiable image. The concept is what the puppy can become, not what he already is. RE the oversized chain and the big lion as his buddy. :)

I love the style, but would like to see the puppy between the front legs of the lion, and the heart a little more styalized hanging off of a chain that looks like something the puppy has to grow into.

Yeah, the lion is present, but more like a ghost, or dream as you put it!! A little more delineation, or seperation of detail, as this is going to be a reversal white on black background, or black on a white background. Otherwise, good job!!

Great! The lion is still a bit too contrasty, the puppy is cute! :)
Would like to see a relatively large link chain around the puppy's neck as opposed to a collar, and a bit bigger, like the puppy has to grow into it.

Want to add a little note to all that are participating on this contest. Thanks bunches and wonderful work so far. As I had mentioned to one of the participants, the work will be reversed either white on a black background, or on other print work, black on a white background. Lines have to be clean, and devoid of gray areas that may be lost in print. The collar on the puppy must be readily identifiable large link chain, with a heart. The puppy too must be easily identifiable as a German Shepherd. I love the ideas that have come through so far, and SEVERAL mirror the qualities I am looking for in parts.
