I was referred to designoutpost from a forum I am on and heard everyone here was great, so wanted to throw my little project out there!

A simple logo I can use for the website and business cards. Would like it to feel modern and high tech.

Blue, for obvious reasons, and also red and white (optional).

I think something I should stress is that I am looking for something that is not so complicated in its lines and patterns. In my current logo I have a tree with leaves and it does not shrink to smaller sizes well. So maybe - a more stylized tree.

Also I think I would prefer a horizontal design, but I could be persuaded otherwise.

@nhr: Like the tree you are using here. Would it be possible to see it with horizontal text split going down (staggered or straight), like this:

or

blue
*tree
**host

I think the tree would have to be larger to fit the text in, so it would be more of a square logo.

Also - I am not sold on keeping the tagline in the logo, in everyone's designs, feel free to leave that part off if it makes it more 'balanced'.

NHR, thanks for the revisions. I really like your concept (#15 specifically) - but my concern is that the tree looks 'barren'. Is there a way to make it look more 'organic' - perhaps with more rounded edges or curves on the tree?
