Hi Lori,

Are you looking for an another due date other than the one posted in the body of the post for April 8th. We are new to using this service.

Is Apr. 8th a reasonable date for receiving quality submissions?

Thank you for your submission. Please note that we wish to have our full company name including ".com" with our logo. Our registered name is: Authentic Communication Solutions.com.

We would like to see more submissions before offering additional comments since we don't have much to compare at this time.

Thank you for your submission. We apologize for the late response. We have been away since last Friday. We prefer your first version and would like to see it with different fonts. We would also like to see how it would look if the logo was positioned differently.

Thank you so much for your submission. We like Version 4 the best and would like to see this version with different fonts for the company name. We'd also like to see what it would look like if the logo is above the company name and possibly with different size font to highlight part of the company name like your version 2. We also noticed that the smaller black and white version does not look like people. Can anything be done about this?

Here are some comments regarding the other versions.

Version 1--Interesting concept, however we want a graphic that can be used without the company name.

Version 2--Looks like the people have their backs to one another--not the message we want to portray.

Version 3--Doesn't appeal to us at all. Can't explain why. Just doesn't grab us.

We look forward to seeing more submissions from you.

Since we have received submissions from only 2 designers, we are extending our deadline to April 18th.

Although we like some of the designs sent to us we would love to receive submissions from other designers. If there is a reason why you are not submitting designs to us, please let us know. This is our first time using Design Outpost and we plan to use this service for more projects in the future.

We are very impressed with everyone's work and appreciate all your submissions. We have narrowed it down to choosing either nutscreative or OffbeatDesign.

We have received feedback from a few people telling us that the name of our website is not clear in several versions and that it looks like the website is "CommunicationSolutions.com." For this reason we would like to see the following:

nutscreative--use full color for both the logo and the company name (current version appears blurry) and use the same font and size for the whole company name like in post #18. We don't know if you will have to enlarge the logo to balance it with the name.

OffbeatDesign--can we see #20 design with the company name positioned the same as #18.

We'd also like to see the font from #13 with the design from #20.

We look forward to seeing these revisions.

here's from me...
thank you :)

Thank you for submitting this design. We feel the logo is more suited to a company dealing mostly with adults and their interaction with children and our intention is to serve a wider clientele.

Hi, Please understand we cannot copy the exact same font used by other designer within the same project, please see attached some similar font style. Thanks.:)

acsc

Thank you both for your quick reply.

OffbeatDesign: We would like to see the design without the line separating the graphic from the company name and we would also like to see the company name with the blue color and with the green color from the graphic to compare.

nutscreative: We would like to see your design with a bigger space between the logo and the company name and also with a vertical line separating them.

We are trying to see the various ways the design can be used. For example, when used on a business card we are not sure if the line will work since we may need to put a line underneath the whole design to add our contact details below.

Since we are not very technical can you tell us if we can make changes to the color of the font after we receive our final version or will we only be able to use the design exactly the way you send it to us? Also would we have flexibility in using the line or taking it out depending on our usage?

Hi, regarding your concern, actually you could request winning designer to provide couple of version for various use (such as colour, vertical, horizontal format... etc.). We usually provide client with ai vector format, jpeg format and you could request to have photoshop layered format (you could take out the line with layer file if you have photoshop).:) Please see revised attached. Thanks :)

Thank you both for sending revisions. This has been a very tough decision and we appreciate everyone's efforts to create our logo.

We have decided on continuing to work with OffbeatDesign. We have chosen the design in post #32, (would like with and without the vertical line) however we have a couple more revisions we would like to see with the font. We prefer a darker gray font similar to #31 post B and would also like to see a font that closely resembles #31B. (We understand you are unable to use this exact font since it was used by another designer.)

Lastly, we are still getting feedback that our website address might be confusing. Can we see the .com in the same blue color that you use for part of the logo so that the whole company name is in dark gray and the .com blue. We are also open to other suggestions on how we can ensure there is no confusion. We want people to know that both our company name and website is: Authentic Communication Solutions.com.

Since this is our first time using Design Outpost, please let us know if we notify them now that we have chosen our designer or after we finalize the design.

What is the difference between version 12 and version 13? We can't seem to see it.

Can we see the .com in italics and the same color as the font.

Do you have any other ideas on how we can ensure that people who see our logo clearly get that our company name and website is Authentic Communication Solutions.com? We would appreciate some ideas from you.

Keep in mind that people will most likely be seeing your logo with other material, not as a stand alone graphic. That's why most companies leave the ".com" off their logo. The web address would be either on stationery, a brochure, or other marketing material.

OffbeatDesign
04-20-2009, 06:53 AM

Thank you for your ideas. We want the .com in our logo because it is included in the official name of our company. Now that we see the .com in blue we don't like it. It stands out too much.

Putting the whole website address underneath doesn't work for us. It is also difficult to read especially when reduced in size.

Can we see the .com in a variety of smaller sizes and both in italics and regular font so we can compare. In Version 14 the .com doesn't look much different than the name.

OffbeatDesign

We want to thank everyone again for their wonderful submissions to our project and apologize for the fact that we did not inform everyone through the "reply to thread" button when we chose our designer. Instead, we sent this information through a regular post (#35) and continued to work on revisions through the same forum rather than through the revisions forum.

Since this was our first time using this service we were uncertain about the process and neglected to re-read the guide. Our sincere apologies.
