family salon mostly here for cuts & color services
Who would you like to add to your audience?
more spa-like but still approachable in a small town atmosphere
Quality service at an affordable price Modern but approachable
Barbershop area is new along w spa
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
something appealing to men & women alike I will have a separate barbershop area for men only, salon area for all, and spa section
I currently have scissors/comb in logo
Barbershop will contain some vintage things like straight edge razors, barberpole w glass globe top etc.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
for a sign I prefer a dark background, for cards black with a color appealing to both sexes always works I currently have a burgundy card and a deep purple card
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
open to new ideas but may want shears or something that immediately distinguishes a salon
try to add silouetes for spa, barberpole, shears?? All in a modern design. Don't want it to look like old time barbershop though.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
full service for men & women The new barbershop section is a businessman type w/ hot towels, warm lather, etc
What is your tagline or slogan?
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
approachable, affordable, more services, expanding current salon

new sign, website, business cards, flyer
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Many salons in area , but we are upscale w more affordable prices. Barbershop section will be only one in area
