Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks to all so far.
Quirk: Please change colors to maroon and bronze. Change the letters of crossroads like I described with the first and last letters being the largest font with descending size to the inward letters. I'm thinking I might like to see what a simple roof might (with a hint of shingles) look like over the logo to give it a home feeling. Also, maybe try a tiny pine tree next to the house.
Artemii: Version 1.0. Change colors to maroon and bronze or deeper colors of what you already have. In the second illustration, please underline the entire logo - crossroads and have an intersecting vertical line separating the logo and crossroads.
EX: logo | crossroads
-----| ----------
nutscreative: Version 01. Please remove the human figure and the bottom reflection. Change colors to maroon and gold.
To all: I'd really like to see something like a forest or mountains. Maybe like a simple covered bridge with mountains or forest in distant background. Thank you.
Project Update: The project deadline has been extended to June 12th and the deposit has been raised to $160.

Artemii: Thanks for you last change, but I've been wanting the 1.0 version (the one that looks like a heart) , not the 2.0 version. Thanks.
Quirkdesign: I really like what you submitted, but I'm waiting for a response to my 06/03 email. Thanks.
nutscreative: Why are your designs deleted? I just wanted the human figure deleted from the one submission. Thanks.

Artemii: Yes, that's it. Could you also give me looks with color combinations of (1) PMS 180c & 465c and (2) PMS 1815c & 136c? Thanks.
I welcome any new designs. I'd like more selections. Thank you all.

Artemii: For version 1.3, would you please leave the first and last letters the same font with descending font sizes toward the inward letters. We like the current colors, but please try some other PMSc colors that you think might be suitable (edgy but calming).
For version 1.4, please make CROSSROADS all the same PMS maroon color. Thanks.
nutscreative: Hopefully you can open up the HTML attachment. Please remove the shrubs and sidewalk on the house. The roof sides need to extend a little longer over the house. Thanks.

Artemii: For yours, we like version 1.3 the best. We'd like to try a few more color schemes if you don't mind.
1. PMS 194C & 424C
2. PMS 626C & 136C
3. PMS 2758C & 136C
We like the shading (or shadow) effect, so could you make sure this gets incorporated into the color changes. Thank you.
Quirk design: Please remove the chimney. Thank you.

Artemii: I think we're almost there with yours. Now we like the lettering style of 1.31 (descending smaller inward). However, we need to see the same color schemes as you did the last time in the 1.31 letter style. Also, then would you please do a second set of colors schemes in the 1.31 letter style by replacing the gold with PMS424c. That would mean we should see a total of six new logos. Sorry to have you do this, but we want to make sure what looks the best. Thank you.

Artemii: Having a hard time deciding on the color scheme. Request one more set to look at. Using 1.31-01, please replace 194c with 195c and keep 424c. Also, please create any color combination of your choosing. Your professional opinion is greatly appreciated. The logo is great, but we are overwhelmed with the color choices. Pending these next color schemes, we will decide soon. Thank you for all the work you've done so far.

Here's what you requested:

Regarding color schemes, it seems that when choosing a color combo for this logo, you direct toward the darkest gradient colors, that's why the solid color version appears to be dark. My opinion is that the solid color version should be lighter, thus it gives us the opportunity to make the gradient darker. I attached two versions to illustrate my words. Here's version A:

Artemii: Thanks for the feedback. We are getting together with an artist friend of ours tonight or tomorrow to get her input for color scheme. We will get back to you after we meet.
Couple of questions: (1) Is the shaded logo considered 3 or 4 colors? (2) Will the downloadable formats allow me to have embroidery done on shirts and coats and metallic signs for side of auto?
Artemii
06-15-2009, 11:15 AM
Ok, thank you, I will be waiting for the feedback!
1) The shaded logo is considered 2 colors (see the solid color version). The gradient consists of different shades of these two colors.
2) Yes, sure, they will.

Artemii, the colors in 1.31-04 are PMS 2758 and PMS 424. You gave us the wrong colors. I need the correct colors as soon as possible. Our business cannot begin until we get a logo for business cards, etc.

I don't mean to be a pest, but the blue I see in the last zip file doesn't look the same as what I see on version 1.31-04 in the Design Outpost website. The website version has a deeper blue. I know you said it was PMS 2758. I like the color I see in Design Outpost. What can be the problem? Can you take a look. I really need the blue I see in version 1.31-04. I have a whole bunch of things waiting until the color is right. Thank you.
Artemii
06-26-2009, 04:16 AM
I checked once again (although I was sure it's the same color) and it is the same color, PMS 2758, both in website and file versions. Though the blue color in website version looks lighter than the file version color on my monitor (your situation is vice versa, as far as I understood). So it could depend on monitor settings (how it reflects the web colors). Maybe you should print the color version (CMYK from the file package that I sent) and see how it looks like on paper, not on monitor. After that, if you still think the blue is too light I can make it darker, just let me know :)
