To all designers,
Thank you very much for submitting your GREAT ideas. Please keep in mind to use Red, White and Blue for the design.

Disturbreality, I am looking for something more unique and customized.

Gilles, I love the first design with the tire , However, this association is collision and mechanical shop owners. This is would be considered more for The Tire Dealers Association..... On the second design (very professional and contemporary) please take out S.E.A.T.S from inside the logo and let me see what it looks like.

Alex Kogan, Very creative....I loved #1-5 with a "metalic look." I'm not sure that everyone would easily recognize it (be able to read it as SEATS)...... Would you modify the title under the logo (maybe use capital letters for the first letter of each word.....just an idea.)

Pennyln, Original & clever, but something is missing ~ I'm sorry I can't quite put my fingers on it.

Thanks again everyone.

Hello :) ,

Here are the changes you requested. I also replaced the tire with a gear so I think now it could suggest "mechanical" (in the 2nd post). The gear is mixing now with the speed traces from SEATS...they get together well ;) .

Best regards,
Gilles. :D

Of course, the date on here could be changed to coincide with the trade show.

Darn GOOD idea, Tonya!... I was looking for something to represent both cars and car service, but it's never occured to me to use a.. a what do you call the thing? Spark plug?...

Thanks. I searched my brain trying to come up with a single tool or part that I thought would really represent automotive work. It's amazing how hard it was to come up with something so obvious.

Yeah, I've been on this for more er less the same time and still haven't come up with it :D It's interesting how limited one's head is when looking for directions on its own.

Thank you for submitting new ideas and being patient with me.

Alex Kogan: I love you did to make the "E and A" clearer ~ very creative. I like #2-5. Please take out the gears and change the color of "southeast automotive...." to red. I look forward to seeing what that will look like. Thanks.

Markbeaudry: thankyou, but not exactly what I'm looking for.

dynagirl: your liscense plate idea is great. Something is missing and I don't know what.

Here's the changed version.

The #3-1 is the basic shape (which can be used for 1 color stamps or reliefs), the ## 3-2 and 3-3 differ in letter type for the "Automotive..." tag line. The #3-4 is an "extreme" high contrast version, which also results really interesting (IMHO).

If you're gonna silk-screening the 2 and 3 versions, you'll be printing 5 colors over strong color background (black, red, blue etc.) and 4 colors over white. The #3-4 version is 2 colors only over white and 3 over strong color background.

The 3-4 version (with the text in black) will also work better for b&w office documents and other monochrome media, while 3-2 and 3-4 are either to be converted in monochrome variations (actually, something like #3-4) or converted to grayscale.

Cheers! :)

Alex,

#3-3 is PERFECT! Thank you. It's exactly what I'm looking for: an eye-catching & professional logo. I will be using it on office stationary, post cards and newsletters....sometimes printed in color and sometime in black & white.
Please send me Adobe Illustrator or EPS files + jpeg format incase I need to expand it for banners.
Thanks again.
