<o:p> </o:p>
Project Summary:<o:p></o:p>
A color print design for a one page (front and back) sell sheet that will be used as a general purpose brochure at various marketing opportunities with potential customers. It will be used by itself and with additional materials. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
What type of product or service do you offer?<o:p></o:p>
We perform all of the commonly requested inspections of homes and condominiums when property is sold. Our business is driven by real estate agents, who order almost all of the inspection we do annually. see our site for more info: web site (http://www.specialtyteam.com/)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
What is the goal for the sell sheet?<o:p></o:p>
The design should promote Specialty as a convenient way to get more done with less effort. We want customers to know that by calling us, they can have five different inspections of a property done at the same time, because we do the coordination work. Now they do not have to contact five inspection companies and hope to get appointments that are close together. We offer property, pest, roof, chimney and pool inspections.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Audience Profile:<o:p></o:p>
Bay Area real estate agents.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:<o:p></o:p>
Design should attractive and easy to read. It should have a professional overall tone. On the front side, we are looking a large image that commands attention and a headline and logo. On the back side we would like the copy, logo and contact info.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
>Overall design should incorporate our logo color (maroon PMS 229) and optionally (Gray CMYK 20% black). Please see links below for past work done by DO designers for us which we’ve liked.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
> Finished sell sheet will be letter size and will be printed by vistaprint.com. We prefer portrait orientation layout. Finished design should satisfy their printing requirements (http://www.vistaprint.com/customer-care/artwork-specifications.aspx?pfid=184&pf_id=184#Products)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated in the design?<o:p></o:p>
> One concept is picture of a person's finger about to push a domino which will start a chain effect of other dominos falling. (example (http://adsoftheworld.com/media/print/shamiana_short_film_festival_dominos?size=_origina l)) More than two dominos would probably be more effective at getting the message across. The headline could be "Get more done with less effort" or "Do more. Work less." <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
>Another concept is that by using our coordination services, agents can focus on their core business and spend their time more effectively or enjoy more free time. A picture of someone relaxing with their spouse and young kids might work for this. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
> Any concept that effectively illustrates getting greater results with less, but smarter, effort. :D<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
What text should be included?<o:p></o:p>
On the front: <o:p></o:p>
>Main image and headline<o:p></o:p>
>Our logo (see attached) images)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
On the back:<o:p></o:p>
>image(s)<o:p></o:p>
> placeholder text with room for 2-3 short paragraphs of text<o:p></o:p>
>Our logo (see attached) images)<o:p></o:p>
>Address: 261 Spring St. <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Pleasanton</st1:city></st1:place>, CA 94566<o:p></o:p>
>phone number (925) 249-9611 <o:p></o:p>
>web site: specialtyteam.com<o:p></o:p>
> Licenses: OPR4380, Cont. Lic. 831089<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?<o:p></o:p>

Hi Veronica. Thanks for the entry.
I like the "swoop" lines across the front and attention grabbing image. Headline colors and overall layout on front great. The back side is well done too, but seems to compete with the front for attention. Can you do anything to make it seem like the back side so that the front has the spotlight? Thanks!

Hi Sarah. Thanks for posting.
The back page looks good for overall layout. If you made the logo and other contact info smaller and made room for more whitespace I think it would be great. The front page is too simple. Maybe use the image as a full bleed background with headline & logo superimposed? Thanks.

sta1ex, thank you for your entry. If you could make the layout more interesting I think it would help out. The domino image used with the house shape and woman's hand seems confusing. How about trying something altogether different and using some pictures of real estate agents and using smaller logo and contact info elements. Here are some istockphoto images that might work better. Thanks!

Sta1ex,
Thanks for the revision. It is much improved. I like the clever adaptation of the magnifying lens as a picture frame. The family playing together reinforces the message we want to promote that our customer will have more time for their kids by using our company. The image might be more consistent with a headline that says something like "Have more time for the other important people in your life" with some sub text that explains "Wit Specialty, you can get five inspections with just one call." But as an overall design, this is a good option. Looking forward to the back page. Thanks!

Thank you all for the work reworking your concepts. I felt there were several good options to choose between. Thank you also Sta1ex for re-doing your design.

Veronica, We chose your concept, specifically the front page design on post #7 (with the dominos) and the back page design in post #15 (with the line drawing of the house in the background). Nice Job!

Revisions Requested:
After looking through the different "domino" ideas, I've decided it doesn't communicate the "do more, work less" message, as I intended. I would like to replace the domino image on the front side with a real estate agent that looks happy and productive. I've listed some revisions I would like below. Any suggestions or alternatives you may have in your professional judgment would be welcome.

On the front:
1. Please replace the domino picture the istockphoto image [iStock_000002750631Large]. I've sent you a link via private message containing all the files.
2. Please replace "Do More Work Less" with "Five Inspections. One Call. Get more of the right things done." I like how you used half black/half burgundy text.

On the back:
1. Remove the line drawing of the house, the five picture boxes from our web site and the picture of the hands holding the house.
2. Replace with provided images of our inspection team and of owner Mark Kearns.
3. If you can, please insert this quote below Mark's photo, as a caption
“It’s about honesty, integrity and fairness. We are in a position of trust. Our customers rely on us for thorough, impartial reports and quality repairs.” - Mark Kearns, President
4. If you would like, feel free to also use [iStock_000006381822Large] somewhere.
5.Change the company name to Specialty Inspections
6. Change the copy to read as follows:

Simple & Convenient
Specialty is the Valley's premier inspection service. We specialize in real estate sale inspections and offer five types of reports including home, termite, roof, chimney and pool. We coordinate inspections for you so that our inspectors arrive together, work side by side, and go over findings with you on site. Now you have time to get more of the right things done.

Honesty, Fairness & Integrity
We work as hard as you do and are passionate about providing unparalled service. Owner Mark Kearns believes the principles of honesty, fairness and integrity have been foundational to Specialty's success. Established in Pleasanton in 2003, we service the entire Tri-Valley and Bay Area and perform thousands of inspections each year. Our inspectors are experienced and licensed experts in their own fields. We guarantee accurate reports, quality work, and the support you need to succeed!

Hi Veronica.

Thanks for the re-work. It looks really good. I like how you worked in the different elements and images on the back. Some feedback I've gotten from some others at work is that we are a small company, but my picture of the woman on the front gives the wrong impression by creating a much bigger corporate company feel. They've suggested using images of our own inspectors or of the owner. I'm going to look for something else and get back to you. If you have any suggestions, that would be great.

Hi Lawrence! Yeah maybe the woman in the front is too much corporate and doesnŽt shows the personal treatment you surely offer to your clients.
Maybe some pictures related with "five inspections, one call" ... IŽll try to search another images in the meantime! :)

Hi Veronica,

Thanks for your patience. I've got one more file I'd like to try on the front, if possible. I've sent you the link by private message. It is of the front of the house with a 'sold' sign.

The person who will need to give me final approval is in Europe until Tuesday and can't be reached by email. Is that too long to wait to finalize?

Hi Veronica. Thank you for waiting.
We will go with the 'sold' sign. Could you please increase the size of or move the 'Five Inspections One Call' headline to make it more prominent and the 'Sold' placard less prominent? Lastly, could you change the company name at the back bottom side to just 'Specialty Inspections.'

Thanks,
Lawrence

Hi Lawrence,
The pic has a wide format and I donŽt have to much free space above to the "sold sign" but I enlarged this part up the much as I can and made the headline much prominet.

Hi Veronica.

Thanks for touching up the "sold sign" image.
There are a few small things I noticed on the psds that might have been lost during finalization. It might by my software (Corel).
1. The words "HOME-TERMITE-ROOF-CHIMNEY-POOL" are not under the logo on the front and back sides.
2. The "Inc." is still in the company name on the back. It should have been taken out.
3. Last, the word "Specialty" is bold in two of the paragraphs on the back side in the text.

Thanks!:D
