Can you believe I am here ..AGAIN..

OK this one is MUCH easier.

This contest is for a NET OBJECTS FUSION SIte Style
including a header, buttons and a line and list thingy

Feel free to post your Header without the elements. ..or you may include them if you like..I want to cut down work for those who do not win :)

I would then select and work with the winner to complete the style

So Rev Renee , What site is THIS for, THIS TIME?

Well so our community site Kemet OnLine! www. kemetonline.com is the largest Kemetic (Modern day followers of Ancient Egyptian Relgion) community (OK 500 is not large for the web.big fish, tiny pond)

We have new material to add and will be revamping it . KOL is open to and attracts a broader base than our temple. Everyone understands they are related but it is more diverse in beliefs

For this reason We do want it to look the same as PER ANKH...so if you are in that contest please make this different:)

What Colors? Images? Any Slogan for the Header?

Yes

colors--I would like this to be colorful and include the sort of tealish blue on the banner here and a gold..but also other colors.:)

http://www.kemetonline.com/wwwthreads/ubbthreads.php

==============
The image should be or be based upon a winged Scarab holding up the sun
I imagine strikingly beautiful feathers and scarab of lapis blue or gold(as in the precious metal)

And people(can be real or really stylizing--if real-diversity of race sex, and age is important) Holding it up like the deity in this picture:

========================
Slogan

Letting Ma'at Ascend

=======================

Below it on the right or left should be a simple line on which the page title will be printed in fusion

Here is the Netobjects fusion site if you would like to simply download the trial and create a new stlye. It is a matter of clicking a box that says 'banner" button on button off, second level on off, line, list icon and uploading

http://www.netobjects.com

Make sense?

say "   "

and I'll say:

:wee: You are a artistic and graphical :wizard:

I better go to bed. Too much web work my scedule is reversed..
Hi All of you in Europe :waves:

What is the difference between NetFusion and any other software used to make web elements? I went to download the trial, and gave up as it's 47Mb and I'm on dial up.

Do elements need to be made in Net Fusion to be compatible with it? Or could we work up a banner in Photoshop, save it as a JPG or GIF and have it imported into Net Fusion.

Please advise.

One other idea that actually came to me while sleeping,

People (can be regular or just stylized) or a "Community" raising up the winged scarab:)

You will notice in the pictures that a diety NUN is holding it

In my sleep I had that image and thought tHAT'S it

A community participating in beingi the first time (Ma'at) about or
"Letting Ma'at Ascend"

ooooooooo

If Kelly B where here and participating it would have been a bunch of sheep;-)

Showed roomate (the other Priest decision maker)

After the wows finished..we tried to come up with a suggestion or some change in the scarab or wings or the sun or banner color

or SOMETHING

Unsuccessful :(

Can you add in the people ie (community) raising up the winged scarab:)

Man I want to end the contest already but I will hold my breath a bit..LOL

Glad you like it so far...
you're right, this was the easier one of your contests.
(As far as coming up with a visual.)
I'll see if I can sprinkle some people in there for you. ;)

Hello!

Well, I'm the "roommate fellow priest decision-maker," and I hope you realise that the green smilie in the subject line indicates "Renee holding breath." :D As she said in her post, we are curbing our desire to end the contest right now.

Kimber, this winged scarab is SO lovely. Everything about it is rich: the colors, the sweep of the feathers, the blue outline of the sun, the bar where the words are that looks like real gold. You have really captured our thinking about this.

So, here is my highly intellectual, beautifully-written response; WOWSA!

Hi Kimber

Cool idea but not quite ..

What we are trying to show is that OUR COMMUNITY has a role in creation each day by how we live...

We "raise up Ma'at" and bring about the first time

So rather than NUn ..The figure which is usually portrayed holding and raising the scarab to start creation..
I want Kemetonline members doing it ;-)

Can be stylised people like glyphs or not..but what I really want

1. the look of a community of folks below the scrab whose hands are holding it up (it is ok to make it taler netobjects is flexible that way)

2. diverrse community if possible men and women if stylized like glyphs..racially diverse too if not and age if not

I an assumong yu have seen the opictues of nun holding up the winded scarab..if not let me know and I will give you some links

Awesome
WOW

said that

one other comment..
You made that gold bar look so real and rich

We would prefer only the words Letting Ma'at Ascend in there liek you had it initially

cre8or

Is this anything like what you're
looking for in the way of a community?
I'm just not sure if I'm on the same wavelength...

rlevant
11-15-2003, 10:49 PM
Neat people

take a look at this link below ..iti is the look we are trying for

the people should be taller and more together toward the center with eachother all contributing to doing the task that the god does here:

http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Nook/7916/Becoming.html

of raising the scarab up
as if they *together * as a united community *are* being the god

cre8or
11-15-2003, 10:59 PM
Okay, I think I've got it, just one more quick question
before I turn in for the night:
Should the people be holding the scarab up by the body?
Or can they be holding him up by the wings as well?
(As they are in my previous post).

I'm going to turn in now, so I guess I'll get your answer when I get up.
I'll post a revision then.

Good night, may the Netjer smile on you. ;)

Good Night:)

Netjer bless

heh
or whoever you worship;-)

I think the cover of the legs isn't a good idea

The ancients solved this problem in three ways so thait would look more life lifting

1. barq-- so as in the picture I linked to God holds up barl and the beetle is fully extended legs and all :)

2. when there was not a barq the god held one of these three things

a. the very bottom of the beetles legs (or feet actually)

b. The moon was in legs of the beetle and He held that

c. an partial disc like a half nmoon on which it sttod and he held

I tend to think 2 b or 3c would be easiest and do the trick here

Not a dumb question.
Unfortunately, this little guy was created
completely in Photoshop, and isn't vector.

Sorry about that.

I usually use Photoshop when I want to make softer, more "realistic"
gradients and blends.

I'll work on the changes.

Hey

I'd take that anyway it came!!!!!!!!

hahaha

Can I still make a tshirt of it from a photoshop file?

We are dying to have this on tshirts..for ourselves

We are going around singing...

"All we want for Christmas is Kimbers's art on a t shirt!"

And so are some of our Priesthood.

And they are not doing the work they SHOULD cause they are so excited LOL

*shakes head* I cannot decide if this is a good thing..or not heh

You can make Tshirts from Photoshop files, but there's a few hang-ups.

1. You can make them from transfers you print
from your computer or through a laser printer at a service bureau.
They're only good for white Tshirts, as teh inks are transparent and
require the white of the shirt to show up. (Like printing on white paper).

2. You can find a screenprinter that can make full-colour
halftone screen-printed shirts. It is possible: think of all the full-colour
Harley Davidson Tshirts you've ever seen. The screenprinter we use can't
register more than one halftone screen accurately, so he doesn't do them.

Option 1. is good for a small number of shirts. Option 2. is more for large-runs.

Hope that helps.
I'm off now, to make changes to your scarab.
:)

Hello again,
Here is the revised header, with scarab, sun, moon & people.
Hopefully this is what you were looking for.
You had mentioned that netfusion was flexible, and that's good,
as this header's now getting a bit tall: Actual size= 800px x 300 px.

But here goes:

Oh, Kimber, I cannot imagine a design that would be more appropriate for us, our Temple, and our Temple community. The design process is a mystery to me, because so much of it seems to be reading the mind of the person(s) for whom you're creating the design. In this case, you seem to have read our minds loud and clear. :D

Really beautiful, and really, really us. Thanks!

Rev Sedgwick (who can't wait to have our priesthood see this!)

P.S. Did I say WOWSA!?

Wow, I am elated. I always wanted to be Pharaoh.

Emperor would be a close second,
but Pharaoh was always my first choice.

Thank you for choosing my design, I'll prepare the files and PM you shortly.
I was so excited about the prospect of being elected Pharaoh,
that I scribbled this down.
