I have a landscape maintenance company, the logo I'm attaching was created by me about 3 years ago (Didn't know about this site or even the web back then) my company is finally gaining name recognition, my dilemma is that I have send my logo for business cards and the end result is not right, it looks blurry low quality, also back then we only did lawn maintenance and now we have move more to the softscape (plants, mulch, etc.) and hardscape (patios, walls, walkways) side of business, I would like for you guys to add something in the logo that reflects this, also this season the company will become Inc.

The name is Aztlan LawnScape Inc.

I'm also open to the idea of redesign the logo a little bit if I like what I see.
The pyramid and the grass has to stay, maybe you can shape it up, and also the colors, my truck is silver and it looks pretty nice the way this logo looks on it

Keep in mid that it will be used for truck lettering also, they usually print one sections at the time

Man I wish I knew this site 3 years ago, you did in minutes somethig so great, it took me couple of hours to do mine.

The idea is terrific, can you do somethig that looks much, much closer to what I have? I don't want to give people the impression that this is a new company.

Once again I want to add something that reflects that we also do softscape and hardscape, the grass too.

AZTLAN - you may not recognize my username, but you know who I am (Stonehenge/Jeff). ;)

I have a few questions that I'd like to ask, because it may give the designers more info to work with.

First, the pyramid - is that representing a Mayan pyramid? (I spent a vacation years ago visiting the ruins at Uxmal and elsewhere - I enjoyed it a great deal.) If so, I'm guessing the colors are representing the colors of Mexican flag.

Kind of like my company name, the logo, though not a direct representation of Stonehenge, still has that feel, with the stones circling the trees (see the contest for my logo HERE (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/?showtopic=427&hl=stonehenge). They may be able to incorporate the feel of a Mayan pyramid, the colors of the flag, and stones to suggest your hardscapes services.

Glad to see you gave this service a try - I've held numerous contests here and have always been happy with the results. :D

Jeff like always you're right on the money, and just for some information I found this site thanks to GTX.

Eagle if I were to redesign my logo yours would be on the top of the list, I really love the design of the pyramid, simple and the lettering is just right, but I think I'm going to stick with my original, cause like I said it before I don't want to give people the impresion I'm a new company, I have couple of trucks already with this logo.

Gilles that's exactly what I'm looking for, Il like the first one, can you make the colors solid?
Can you make the grass kind of more wild also maybe it would be better to use just one color, I'm afraid the place where they make my lettering are going to have a hard time reproducing something like that

Can you add something in there that reflects Hardscape and softscape, maybe instead of the oval in the second picture.

I'm attaching a picture of my trucks to give you a better Idea what it looks like at this moment.

The gray looks good but I didn't like the color of the grass because it blends with the pyramid and also the cut above doesn't show

Pennyln I really like that option, your design changes a little but it looks real close to mine, people will see like an upgrade instead of new, I love where you placed the a cut above, can you play with the color of the piramyd, can you make the green more like the one you have in the grass, and make the grass lighter colorwhise. Also can you came up with something that reflects hardscape and sofstcape, don't forget to add the Inc.

1 on 1, I'm really looking for something real close to what I have at this moment.

Alex Kogan, and Eagle, it's a pretty good try (actually I liked your very first logo Eagle) but honestly I'm lookig for somethig like Pennyl design, hope see makes an update adding the some stones or something neat.

Thanks guys for all the replies

I hope I can get more response, I did't put a deadline but let's try the first friday of december, please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Here are some revised ideas...

Thanks kootcho, you always have something real nice for the first try, but now I think I like pennyl piramyd better than mine  I like the idea of the paver underneath the grass, but for some reson they look like masonry bricks, maybe you can come up with something from my attached sketch.

Pennyl thanks for the update, forget about the rocks I think they look like mountains, the grass could be a little more ligh in color, inc smaller and the cut above just a little bit bigger or someway to make it stand more, atttached is your design with some ideas which I'll explain in more detail.

After you do the Inc. smaller run like a walkway path made of pavers, with the last couple of paver just about to be layed, in the position of the circle I drawed (not that crooked <_< ), also if you can add a tree on the side of the piramyd please don't make the tree as big as I did, maybe it doesn't even have to show the trunk I'm sure you'll come up with something nice, with just couple of leaves left or just one.

Sorry I tough this was going to be fast and I'm starting to be a pain in the :o

Sorry to all for not having replied in the last couple of days, had a problem with my computer.

The last logo is the best one yet pennyl, But I don't think leaving that one leaf was a pretty good Idea, (sorry) also the pavers don't look nothig like pavers, please check this design by el kootcho, look at the pavers that form the circle, I'm looking for something like that.

http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/?showt...opic=427&st=105 (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/?showtopic=427&st=105)

Couple changes
1. The tree has to be an the left side of the pyramid no leaf
2. The inc you can make it smaller
3. the Cut above looks better in your previuos designs just make it bold.
4. The pavers don't have to run on the bottom just make half circle starting from the Inc. and leave the last couple like if your about to install'em

Quote "Logo is getting a bit busy now... are your trying to tell too much?"

Yes I want people to realize we not only mow lawns anymore, lot's of people that call me often ask me, Do you do landscaping too? those are the ones that call for mowing, I imagine there's some more that don't call at all because they only wanted landscaping to beging with.

One last very important thing

After going trought a lot of reading and asking the place where they print my logos, everyone agree I have to get my logo in Vector format.
Please tell me you can do it!

If you can meet all of the above requirements, your design sure is a winner, thank you.

Hope I'm not offending anyone or making people feel I'm wasting their time, but this will be a logo I'll look for the rest of my business life.

Ok. I'm back
Just couple little things

1- Make the Capital letters A, L, S a little bit bigger
2.- Inc Smaller
3.- A cut above like the first one you did
4. Tree bring it down, so the first branch on the right is behind the very top of the piramyd jut barely hidding.
5 . Have the paver star on top of the inc.

That's the winner

Aztlan, I would think about what bill says about the log being to busy. It look clutered, and your eye really doest focus on it. Id atleast get rid of the tree. Besides that it looks greta!
