We need a tri-fold, 2-sided, 9x12 brochure for a Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur sightseeing tour. Our company currently runs San Francisco city tours, Napa Valley tours, and Muir Woods tours, but it's not essential that the Monterey brochure match the others in style—we're more interested in a dramatic, eye catching brochure than maintaining consistency.

Note that only the top 1/3 of the front cover will be visible in brochure racks, so that area really needs to grab attention and announce what we're selling.

Monterey is an ocean vistas tour – dramatic crashing waves on cliffs, very blue water and bright blue sunny sky. You can see some images we're using on the website at http://www.sanfranshuttletours.com/monterey_tours.html. The brochure should probably have brighter colors than on the current website.

Our tour is more expensive than competitors', so the design, colors, etc. should communicate it's a high-end experience.

Here is our draft text, based on layout of previous brochures, but we're open to your layout ideas.

Left Inside Panel – Daily Tours of Monterey

Most Comprehensive Monterey/Carmel Tour—Our tour includes many great stops that other companies don't include, such as Big Sur and the Bixby Bridge, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, and a guided walk through the Monterey Historic District. With so many stops and experiences, you receive great value for your time and money.

Separate Tour Guide from Driver – on a full day tour you REALLY want a good tour guide. And since our guide is not also the driver, we can take you on guided walks, such as the Historic District and famous sites at Cannery Row. Your tour guide interacts with you throughout the day – we don't just transport you to Monterey and drop you off.

Best Aquarium Option – The Monterey Aquarium is one of the finest in the world. We give you more time at the aquarium (2½ hours), and we provide your aquarium tickets (optional) at a discounted price.

Most comfortable ride – We use a small motorcoach that's packed with comfort but not packed with people – we never have more than 36 guests. On our way back to San Francisco you're ready to relax, so we put on a movie, bring out board games, and serve complimentary snacks.

Overnight stay option—If you'd like to have an overnight getaway to Monterey or Carmel, we can transport your luggage and drop you at your hotel (or a short taxi ride away); come back with us to San Francisco the next day.

400 years of history and incredible scenery – Monterey is the most important historic area on the entire West Coast of America; our stops and drives along Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean are some of the most beautiful ocean views in the world.

Hi Jason,
Can you provide us the logo in vector format (psd, ai, eps or pdf)? And if you have high resolution images will be welcome too!
Thanks!
Veronica

I don't currently have it, but will work on that - can you do a draft without it? For images we'll probably have you get stock photos.

The front and the back side as a preview for you :)
I focused on the exclusiveness of the offer, clean but tasty presentation with some typography play, not just the mix of many photos and slogans imitating holiday's picture album which we can often see in the cheap offers.
Thank you, I hope you enjoy it :)

Attached is a concept from me. Its the outside back/front cover layout. Let me know if you'd like to see more along these lines.

These two examples are both looking very good! We look forward to seeing what the full 6 panels will look like. Thanks for your efforts!

Hi Pracus,

Overall we're liking this a lot! We're especially liking the bold photo treatments. We appreciate that you were trying to be creative with the geometric boxes around the title fonts, but that's not really working for us. Please try another treatment.

Also, please try another treatment for the photos on the A Fun Day Awaits You panel. That panel feels very busy, especially since you used fewer photos on the other panels - I guess the trick is to use a number of photos but not have it look crowded.

Finally, let's try moving our logo to the top on the cover. I think it looks great where it is, but I'm interested to see it rather than type to announce the name of the tour. In that case you might consider using our parent company logo small in the lower left (San Francisco Comprehensive Shuttle Tours). Thanks!!

Looking good, Cazeyzman!

We like the way you're blending together the ocean vistas with the historic feel by using parchment and some black & white.

We're concerned about the legibility of the small bold type, e.g., on the itinerary. Maybe try something else?

Here's a tough one to describe-- my boss feels the ocean photo you're using on the inside spread feels 1970s. Please try a different photo (it's fine to have a similar ocean view-- the content isn't the issue.) Thanks!!

Hello Jason and thank you for your comments!

Here are two revised panels. I hope you understand that we cannot change the whole design every time - it costs us (me and Cazeyzman) a lot of work and since you are not narrowed to one of the designs we should work on drafts. I hope this is ok for you :)

I definitely understand. We'll be back in touch next week.
