I am running a program of seminars, workshops, and webinars called the Money Maestro Program.
I want a logo that will appear on electronic media such as my website, and screens at event venues, and on program materials such as workbooks, folder covers, CD/DVD covers, and stationery.

Hi Pracus,
Well yes I do like it. It's a fantastic start! I like your distribution of colour, and the drawing is great.
Now for the usage as a logo I think it's a little bit too "busy". So I would like to see it simplified a bit. I would like to see if it could work with the arms just from about elbows down, and the waistcoat (and bowtie) included for a sense of perspective and that "conductor" image.
Thank You Very Much indeed!

Thanks Pracus.
I like having the waistcoat. It seems to lose something without it. However, it's still a bit strange to the eye when one first looks at it. Could you please try making the maestro parts larger, and the $ and wording a bit smaller?
I would like to try having the "Conducting the Life of Your Dreams flow along under the curved line either side of the $ sign. With the changes in proportion, it may work to put the "Money Maestro" words at the top of the $, still within the conductor's hands.
Thanks,
Glenda

I think we make it too complicated now.

Hi Pracus and Bill,
I missed these last 2 posts - didn't come to my email -so I was surprised (and pleased) to find them when I checked just now.
Bill I like the simplicity of yours and the use of the $ in Maestro (which I thought of myself a couple of days ago....), and also the word Maestro under "Money" seems to work better. The colours aren't right though - the formulas are in my original attachment.
I would also want to use the same font as my main company logo which is attached.
Pracus - thanks for your revision, but I agree - it is too complex - doesn't seem to work. Please see the attachment called MM5. It is a rough idea of what I'd like to see you do. I'd like to change the conductor to a very dark grey (R 70, G 70, B70). I'd like to use the same font and colour distribution as my "Money Success" logo. But here the word is "Maestro" - instead of "Success". For the "s" of Maestro, I want the $ symbol with the flow lines - so that the lines overlap the adjoining letters. The word "Maestro" should be in the red too.
Sorry again for the late reply - don't know why I didn't get email, but I'll check more regularly now! Cheers!

Thanks people.
Pracus,
Thanks that's close to what I wanted but there is one thing missing. I would like the word "Maestro" directly under "money". I would like you to be able to use my existing dollar sign and flow lines from my current logo as the "s" in Maestro. When I tried to attach it to my last post, it just turned up inline. Do you know how I can get it to you as a jpg or png file?
Bill - I like your idea but the colours are still wrong. I have a distinct colour palette which I am keeping all my branding to, for consistency. I have described the colours in RGB (Red Green Blue) format in my original document. I would also like to see your dollar sign as my original logo element dollar sign, which is embedded above (very large) in this post. I think the M's look wrong - kind of out of line, but I don't think they should be left justified. Maybe the word "Money" could be a bit smaller, and raised up a bit higher, to allow room for that dollar sign to be a bit more of a focal point.
Titania - thanks for letting me know - looking forward to seeing it!
Cheers,
Glenda

Unfortunately dollar sign has to be alone. Flow lines on the sides of dollar sign are not visible in this arrangement.

Thanks Pracus.
Getting closer.
I'm attaching an image that I like the proportions of. I really want you to use my original dollar sign with flow lines for the symbol. This is important for brand consistency. How can I get the file with this to you? What format is best for you to use?
Using this image, I want the word "money" in the blue - and "maestro" in red. Don't put the dollar sign in "maestro".

Have just added my own revision.
Use this attached image instead. I also have these flow lines as a separate file, from my original logo. Once again, I would like to be able to get this file to you.
Same notion of "Money" in Blue, and "success" in red.
With this idea, there is a lot of consistency with my main "Money Success System" logo.
Glenda.

whoops - just re-read the above - I meant "Maestro" in red, and put the dollar sign back in it.
going loopy.

i used the dollar sign and the waves you provided, that's why i couldn't make the one color (black) version of it...
hope you like it! :D

Thanks Titania!
The "Money Maestro" words are perfect. The line and balance is exactly right. I'm sorry to say that the hands don't do it for me. :(
They look a bit too cartoonish and comical for what I want. Another go?

OK everyone, I've fiddled and come up with something I like. Just need the dollar sign on the maestro. So this is a combination of the efforts of 2 of you.......how do we do this?

Blink I really like this! Thanks!
The degree of stylization and simplicity of the conductor is right, and I love the dollar signs like notes on a stave.....
There is just one thing I would like you to change. I love how the "Conducting....." is tucked under the waistcoat, but the words "Money" and "Maestro seem a little too close vertically. And strangely seem slightly tilted down to the left. Could you adjust that a bit?
Thanks muchly,
Glenda

Hi Glenda,
Not a problem. Although I think the tilting down to the left is a trick of the eye, as the text is completely straight! However, I think by moving the text and changing an angle n the waistcoat slightly, this has corrected this issue.
Thanks!

Hi Glenda!
It's always best to give the vector files (ai, cdr) to the designers as a source :)

Bill - yours is almost there. Are you able to change the colour effects on the "Money" and "Maestro" to having that flow line running horizontally through the middle, rather than the transparency gradient thing you've got happening. I would like to keep that effect, and also it makes those words a bit more vibrant in colour, which I think they need to be.
Thanks Pracus for all your efforts. I like the last one the best.
Stay tuned. Think I'm choosing between these 2 now..... getting very difficult....

Thank You very much Everyone.
I am choosing Blink's logo as my final, as it conveys a certain feeling, and the simplicity of the conductor makes the concept quick and easy to recognize. (I would still like a more intense colour in those words somehow... it's still just a bit light. Can you get it a similar tone to the submission by Titania, or the last one by Pracus?)
Thanks for coming in on time too. Much appreciated.
Cheers,
Glenda
Pracus thanks for your work. I really love your conductor drawing. It's very arty and classy, but probably a bit too much so for a logo (sadly).

Glenda here again. Not sure why my last message doesn't show here, but Blink I've chosen yours.
Would still like the "Money" and "Maestro" words a bit darker - like my original logo words.
Also - I would like a 2nd version of the logo without the "Conducting" tagline - for certain applications.
Thanks,
Glenda

Hi Glenda,
Please find attached the final proof for your approval. Colours were made darker.
I just wanted to know, seeing as the colours you wish to use were supplied in RGB, is this logo only for web purposes?
Thanks,

Thanks Blink,
The colour intensity is perfect. The red looks a bit different - but that might be and eyetrick too. Is it still the RGB base colour I wanted - and that is listed?
Could you please do the black and white logo WITHOUT the tag line.
For both web and printed. So I guess your question is leading to what colours will printers use - assuming the pantone (think that's what it's called) system.
When I've had business cards printed, with my original "Money Success System" logo, using Vista, I've never specified anything about colour, and they've come out OK......
Cheers, Glenda.

Hi Glenda,
Yes, I have used the RGB colours you specified in your original post.
When designing my rule is always web = RGB colours and print = CMYK. I would never supply a client with RGB colours if they want to use the logo for printed material.
That said, if you have printed your logo with this RGB breakdown with your printer - Vista, and they have not had an issue with the RGB colours, and you will be using them again, I would suggest for the sake of consistency that we leave the colours as they are, as RGB. The reason being is that once you convert your colours from RGB to CMYK the colours will be altered and your end product will be different. And as you really want this logo to remain consistent with your current one, this is my advice.
I do want you to make it clear however, that usually I would never design or supply a client with RGB colour files if they were wishing to use the design for print.
Thanks!

Thanks Blink,
That all looks fine. Ready to package and send.
Thanks, Glenda.
PS. I presume that when I get materal printed with this logo, either I or the printer will choose the print colours that match the RGB ones as close as we think. Do you have any automated way of doing this easily - or would a printer?
