We are looking for a logo to take us through the transition period and into the future.
In November of 2009 Landmark Engineering (www.landmarkengineering.com) and JCM Environmental (www.jcmenv.com) merged.
Since each company has been around for over 20 years and has a great reputation and name recognition, we have been using both names and logos since the merger and answering the phones as LandmarkJCM.
We secured the domain name of www.LandmarkJCM.com where you can see the merger announcement and link to each of our respective websites.
Sometime in the next six months we would like to roll out a new logo and lose the two old logos and continue to call ourselves LandmarkJCM and put a new website at that domain location. Eventually, we are leaning towards Landmark Science and Engineering as the final name and would like the logo to carry over from LandmarkJCM to Landmark Science and Engineering or at least not change too much in the final transition to try to bring continuity.
I am sure there will be more questions and additional thoughts on the matter and I look forward to working with you guys on this.

Hello!
I found your previous logo as a great sign which only requires a fusion of two brands like this to work.

Great Start....please remember that whatever logo we chose we would like it to work with the name LandmarkJCM and then transition to use with Landmark Science and Engineering and persist for the long term with this name.
We will use the new logo as the bridge between LandmarkJCM and Landmark Science and Engineering.
Thanks!

On version 2, can you you turn the S 90 degrees on the last one and add the C to Science.
bill.....:
On Version 01, We really like the logo part, maybe the L could look more like an L and like to see it with the text:
Landmark
Science and Engineering
as well.
These were the two designs that my partners are most excited about so far.
Thank you!

In your version 2 besides the changes above, could you also try it with an LSE in the symbol instead of just an L Thanks.

v1 -- not sure if you're open to these; they're more merging engineering and environmental/green theme as you had in a section of the design brief, not the science plus engineering as in the slogan you listed.
