What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The Georgia SPCA's Name
What type of product or service do you offer?
We are an animal shelter and we rescue and adopt out homeless dogs and cats.
How long have you been in business?
3 years.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We want people to know who we are. We want them to look at our logo and know that we are responsible for rescuing thousands of dogs and cats each year.
What are your long term goals?
We eventually want to open up facilities all over the state of Georgia.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
March 11th. We are in the process of creating pamphlets and need the new logo ready as soon as possible.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
People who are interested in adopting a dog or cat. These people love animals, and can be any age or gender.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
We would like to attract more males. As it is, more women love pets than men.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We want a logo that isn't too big (that can fit on a pamphlet or wherever, but is unique and different from all other animal shelter logos out there.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Blue and black. These are not definite but these are colors that people can wear and generally go well with almost any other color.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Definitely want to incorporate a cute picture of a dog and cat, but many shelters have that, so want to convey it differently in order to stand out (maybe on their backs?).
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We want them to know that we represent all of Georgia and that we are dedicated to saving animals and also that we are a no-kill animal shelter.
What is your tagline or slogan?
(still thinking of a good one...any suggestions?)
Some ideas:
Save the animals!
Meet your new best friend.
Sleep with your best friend.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
We want them to look at our logo and know that it's our organization. We also want them to want to adopt animals and save homeless/sick dogs and cats.
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, pamphlets, business cards, t-shirts, and other marketing paraphernalia.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Our competitors are basically all other animal shelters. We think some have better logos, but are still looking to outclass them.
