Hi there!

What we need

1. We need a Flyer Template with 2 sides--

One side to advertise a variety of mostly free events
the other with information about these events

2. A Bulletin template with similar look

These should come with layered vector files ( or if raster then raster)

Design and Graphics

1. These flyers should go well with the color version of the logo
(on this project I really want the color version )

Also should have some relationship to the website theme and
bizcard design

It can use graphic elements from the Web templates and I will supply a bunch of these

2. But it should also include a new illustration that can carry over to any of our personal growth, change, creativity, justice, spirituality type events

One idea for the main flyer is to have a vertical graphic down the left side-- be we are not at all stuck on that location

Content for your Template Example (Not necessarily in this order)

Change.
Grow.
Flourish!

Transform limiting feelings & behavoirs into allies for growth
Communicate better within yourself and your relationships
Utilize life & work transitions to create the future you want
Overcome Addictions and Trauma
Create the change you want in your life & the world

NLP provides a toolbox for powerful changework. The "toolbox" result's from looking at how people who are really good at what they do, do it, and creating a model that enables others to reproduce that success in their lives.
It can be and has been applied in many areas of life, including therapy, education, sports, business, etc. It's a gentle, practical, effective way to discover what we want and how to achieve it.

Renee, I have yet a little question about this one.
Regarding the information about the events - does anything from the content you posted above have to be used as a part of information on the second side of the flyer or is these all parts of advertisement and should be placed on the first side of the template?

Got you,. You can put the description of nlp on side 2.

But the info below should be on front

Hello Renee!

Any news?

...ok, my stab at this one, as promised :)

first side only, so far.
A rather simple idea.

rlevant

I like the cleaness and use of color.

I'm not against but also not that into the head..What about a similar style but instead of as head more of a

water lily shape? Or something natural with change growth connotations?

Also can we get these words on the front so people know what sort of thing it is if they don't know NLP (or when we use the flyer and change words to another free workshop title we will have another set of points such as the ones which follow:

* Transform limiting feelings & behaviors into allies for growth
* Communicate better within yourself and your relationships
* Utilize life & work transitions to create the future you want
* Overcome Addictions, Depression and Trauma

Create the change you want in your life & the world

Also we need the website, email and phone contact information on the front

rlevant

Hey ..Is there a way to make it more in the style of the last one just with a little more white space (maybe) and maybe if they work better with the logo slightly different colors but the same basic idea without Tamara's face

(This feels too boxy and busy rather than stunning and classy like the last one. )

rlevant

Hey, Renee :)

And what's the exact size of this one?

the same 8 1/2 by 11

...what about this one?

rlevant
04-28-2010, 05:41 AM
Yeah more like it!

Except we do't like the NLP in carnival

Also just a spelling thing: Introduction

(Also we want to be able to change text so different events, places and text in bullet points-- I assume this is no problem in illustrator if we buy the fonts but I just want to be sure)

rlevant
04-28-2010, 05:43 AM

Hey Sedgwick wants to know if you have any clients who don't think you are perfect !!

AlexKogan
04-29-2010, 06:31 AM
You can put anything there if you ride Illustrator and know something about composition :)

I got plenty of clients, mostly local ones, that think that I ask too much for the piece of cr@p I do, and I think every designer gets plenty of this :)

rlevant
04-29-2010, 06:46 AM
For the backside we will have a 4 major titles followed by text and then contact ....we are cleaning that stuff up to post it shortly.. The titles will stay fixed and text descriptions vary with events

LOL I really have trouble believing that. Last night we were at a chamber of commerce "after 5" and about 6 business owners wanted to know who did the flyer:eek:

What is NLP?

While there are many ways to talk about NLP, at its core NLP is about exploring how people who are excellent at what they do achieve such great results, and how their process can be understood, described in simple steps and thereby transferred or taught to others so they can make the needed changes to get similar results.

This process is called modeling. NLP's initial models demonstrated excellence in personal change as manifested by therapists (in particular, Milton Erickson, Virginia Satir, and Fritz Perls), who managed to get positive results that eluded other therapists—and get them quickly and easily.

Many of these processes of powerful personal change have been adjusted to other contexts as diverse as education, spirituality, business, social change, and sports. New models been developed in other areas such as creativity, writing, and spelling by modeling those who manifest excellence in those areas.

So while what people value about NLP varies greatly, and short nifty definitions abound and vary among trainers, NLP as a field is about creating transferable models of change and excellence.

What will you learn?

Through short presentations, a demonstration, and experiential exercises, this seminar will introduce you to some of the ways NLP works with experience

*to make changes in those thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are not desirable
* to create experiences that enable you to be happier and healthier, and live more fully in alignment with your goals and values

In doing these exercises you will get a glimpse of NLP's understanding of the relationship between the way you take in and process information, and your map of reality. You will also encounter the presuppositions of NLP that in themselves can change the way you experience the world.

You will leave with a few skills and the ability to do at least one beneficial process with yourself, your friends, and your clients.

Why choose NLPWORKS?

NLPWORKS is one of the only NLP institutes in the world offering training through NLP Comprehensive, the oldest and generally most highly regarded NLP training institute in the country.

In a time when many people offer 1-week or 3-day “NLP certifications,” the opportunity for the full classic 20 to 24-day NLP practitioner training has become rare. The time investment matters. It gives students both in-depth hands-on instruction and plenty of time to practice during training sessions and in their daily lives. Shorter programs can teach you the techniques, but not the skills to discern how to use them with your clients in the wide variety of situations you are likely to encounter as a helping professional—therapist, health worker, educator, minister, or other.

To go out as a “certified Practitioner” without having had the time to assimilate not only the skills and techniques but also the ability to apply them beyond the training room would short-change you and your clients.

For those taking it for personal growth and self-development, while the skills and techniques can make immediate and great improvement in your life, the real power and benefit of NLP comes, as NLP developer Judith Delozier says, from “getting it in your muscle,” so that it is simply a part of how you live.

In addition, NLPWORKS focuses on the ethics of NLP and personal ecology for any change. We believe that with these powerful tools, merely relying on the ethics of the field to which NLP is applied is insufficient.

NLPWORKS’ Practitioner Training is 23 days long over a 6-month period.
Our graduates will receive their certification from NLP Comprehensive.

What is the NLPWORKS difference?

NLPWORKS is unique among quality NLP Institutes in several important ways.
The directors of NLPWORKS, Dr. Renee Levant and Dr. Sedgwick Heskett, have a long and deep history of work with individuals and organizations for personal and social change, including therapy groups, organized labor, individual clients, progressive businesses and large-scale movements, as part of our commitment to the poor and social justice, in both secular and religious contexts.

We combine this history with bringing you trainers from the strongest existing traditions of NLP as represented by NLP Comprehensive, the premier US NLP training institute, and the Core Transformation team of Connirae and Tamara Andreas, some of the most seasoned trainers evolving some of the newest, most effective and most creative processes.

In addition to training others, we use these processes regularly with each other on issues that arise in our own lives.
We’re committed to your gaining skills you can use in your own life and share with friends and clients. We also have a commitment to making these programs available to individuals and communities with the greatest needs for these services but the least access for financial and other reasons. By participating in our programs, you ensure that a large percentage of every training goes to support scholarships based on need and service, especially to those from marginalized communities.

Finally, there are many different ways of achieving excellence, and NLP’s models, as great as they are, have by and large not come from the most oppressed communities. NLPWORKS is about changing this by extending the range of excellence we model. We believe this will make a real contribution to the evolution of NLP.
