Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
CardsWise

What type of product or service do you offer?
Services for individuals applying for credit cards

How long have you been in business?
New company

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
That we are able to assist individuals with their credit card offers

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
April 14th

Audience Profile:
Less than affluent individuals

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
My initial thought is for a combination of a "wise owl" and a "credit card". One owl I found is at http://www.dreamstime.com and the owl is ID 13180333

I am looking for a logo that is clean & modern.

I would like the words "Cards" and "Wise" to be part of the logo. Perhaps "C" and "W" with CardsWise below it

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Nothing specific

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Wise owls

Where will your new logo be used?
My logo will be used in my website. I will need to use it to watermark my web images and proofs. I will also use it on my business cards.

I will most likely need to be able to resize the logo as needed.

Pracus. its a good start. i need to get more of a feel for not only the owl, but also a credit card. take a look at your credit card. maybe the owl should go to the bottom right near the mastercard/visa logo. Cards Wise could be near where your name is, with some light numbers where the credit card numbers are. also, the owl glasses need to be a bit more darker so as to stand out. also, how about trying a graduate cap with a tassel on the owl to look more "professorial"?
thanks a lot.

Thank you for the comment!

I am always trying not to be too literal in logo design. Tha card was marked by the shape of the card inside which the owl is sitting and I found it not too busy (which is bad for logos in most cases), scalable, fun and leaves a field for interpretations.
But of course I will try to fulfill your hints :)

Pracus
we are getting there. Can you put Cards Wise up at the top, make the numbers a little more greyed out so that they arent so prominent, and put an expiration date below the numbers. Please put the name, not so prominent below the expiration "Albert Whooostein". Also, please give me a few other choices of the background PMS 137.
thanks so much!

Go to http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19837
design number 8. The name of the photography company's font. Try that for the "Cards Wise" at top. Make the card number one size smaller across so that it doesnt get too close to the owl. the 12/30 should be 12/11 and should start above the "S" in "WHOOOSTEIN". Also, can you make the "ALBERT WHOOOOSTEIN" in raised type so it looks raised. I like the graphic of the card and the version of number 9.
thank you!

I really like it! one last change, can we make "Cards Wise" a darker black so it stands out more?

I'm not sure if bolding the name wouldn't be better idea because black is almost the darkest we can achieve.
