My name is Jereme David, but you all probably figured that out by now. I'm from and live in Athens, GA. My hobbies are watching tv and movies, working on the computer and rock tumbling. I work in a local restaurant (Chick-fil-A) full time and work on websites in my free time.

I'm a huge sci-fi/paranormal nut. My favorite shows are X-files, Star Trek, Stargate, Farscape, and LEXX, though I watch many more.

Bored yet? That's ok because I'm done. :-)

welcome!

Rock tumbling, what is that exactly? You find rocks that have potential for beauty, put them in a rotating drum with an abrasive powder and let it turn for a few hours?

What do they look like after tumbling them?

That's pretty much it, yes

They look different depending on what abrasives you use and if you polish them or not. Sometimes, I just smooth them. Most of the time I take them through a polishing stage as well. The majority of stones look really nice after they've been tumbled.

I order bags of rocks from different parts of the country for variety. The results are pleasing.

That's very cool.

I saw a post of yours in the template forum, you know you don't have to do programming too with a template, right? You make the esthetics, the buyer can pay you extra to do the includes or whatever he was asking for - but you have no obligation to do that at the price they are offering.

Check out the thread that says something like, 'Definitition of a template'

Yes. I've read over all the rules and "stickied" posts.

I don't mind doing the include(s). It's only a few minutes extra work. :-)

then that will be that much of an added incentive for the buyer to pick ya. :)

Good luck with your designing..

I'm from Athens, Georgia in the U.S. It is rather warm here for this time of the year, though. I'll send some warm weather over. ;-)

I'm really liking this place so far. It's perfect for me. I can potentially knock out an entire template project in just a couple of days. Even if I don't win, it's good practice. The people I've seen in the threads are really nice too. You all are really talented but there's not so much throat-cutting going on here.

yeah, I am impressed too. The designers are all great in their niche, but none stands out so much that they steal the show. Everyone has a different vision too, it's a nice equilibrium right now.

The designers cooperate too, often.
