I specialize in children's photography.

How long have you been in business?
I have had a photography buisness for 7 years and have been doing preschool portraits. I am opening a studio now and will be doing more of the family portrait style photography.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I am using my name for the studio instead of the school photography company name to portray more of an "artist" feel.

What are your long term goals?
Maintain good relationships with clients and consistently provide them with timeless images.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Aug 21st but I would like to get something together pretty quick because the new studio will be ready so soon!! :)

Please describe your existing audience:
Upper class families with 1-3 children.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
I enjoy my clientele... just want more of them! :)

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Something clean, modern yet elegant, and not too cutsie.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I like black and grey and then I would like one branding color....not sure what color though. I typically like warm tones the best.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Nothing specific in mind but I do want a branding icon that I can use to watermark images

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
creative and professional

What is your tagline or slogan?
Eeeeks! I don't have one yet! This sector of my photography is just developing.


What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That my experience and creativity can not be duplicated anywhere else.

Where will your new logo be used?
In the studio, web, signature prints, marketing materials

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Photographers are a dime a dozen these days!! Most photographer logos are really cheezy with little birds or flowers. I don't like that at all!!

I also wanted to add that I really like the logos that I have seen being designed using the first two letters (H and L) made to look rather "signature-y". Does that make sense? Then I could use that portion of the logo to sign the bottom of the prints. :D

NHR.... Those look a little too much like a college or university logo to me.... I do like how you incorprated the L in the H though! Super cool!

Tinawood.... I don't really like the framing. It's just really trendy right now in the photo world. I really like the other one though! Can we do something to spice up the font?

Elogonics.... I can't pinpoint what I don't like about this one but it just doesn't call to me! Maybe something a little more "girly"?

stephanie..... I still looks kinda goofy to me. I was just trying to go for more of an upper case L because as it was it looks like HJ to me.....which is funny cause my initials really are HJ!! maybe paired with an upper case H would look better? I don't know....you're the expert! :D:D:D

Stephanie... I still really like your design but the revisions didn't come out how I envisioned. Do you have any other suggestions on configuring the letters? I am at a loss. I think they are just hard letters to work with!! :weep::D

Okay so i hope this makes sense but can you make the initials a little more "bubbly" ? I love the bleed as it comes out of the box. The letters look a little bit like Chinese writing and that's just not my style. Can you bring the L down a bit so that they aren't on the same plane? And then instead of using "photography" have decided to go out on a limb and use "modern portraiture" LOL.

I promise I will respond sooner to get this finished ASAP. My husband is even starting to get on me for dragging this out! :)

After much debate I would like to go with Taldo's design.... Sorry Stephanie! I really liked all of yours but they just don't seem to mesh well with my letters. I never though an H and and L would be so awkward!

Taldo, can you just show me version 1 with and without the grey box side by side and then instead of "photography" use "modern portraiture" ? Thanks!
