Hello all,

Might I say, this is an outstanding concept. I've looked at just about every logo request and the designs that were submitted. Each and every one of you are extremely talented. Keep up the excellent work!

We are a very small off-road truck parts and accessories business that deals with the more "extreme" parts for extreme trucks. We need an edgy, rugged logo to go with a site re-design we have planned later this year/early next year. The site will be re-worked to match the logo.

The full company name that needs to be in the logo is "Louisville Offroad Outfitters". Time to get creative. :D Most of my competitors have leaned towards the more cartoonish designs with chrome looking graphics and flames. While we aren't opposed to this, we are looking for a more mature, rugged, but still fun logo that gives the potential customer a feeling of trust in who they are buying from. Some of the design elements could involve trucks or mountains. We do quite a bit of rock crawling (see here for some examples of the sport of rock crawling) (http://www.erocc.com) so something along that track would work well also.

This logo will eventually become the main identity of the company and be placed on everything. Literally. Shirts (both screen printed and embroidered), hats, stickers, etc. So something that will fit a very large age/gender demographic. The average is 25-55 males and transfer over to merchandising would be excellent.

Our current site is Louisvilleoffroad.com (http://www.louisvilleoffroad.com) if you need ideas as to what we do. Please forgive me about the current logo. It was done in 10 minutes and shows it. What can I say, I'm only creative when I'm designing, welding and torching things for trucks, not websites.

Any and all designs are greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing more of your excellent workmanship in the weeks to come.

Thank you,

JD Miller

Here's my idea... custom illustration, not clip art...

Wow, that was quick!

piece_of_mind:
I really like the design and the concept behind it. It presents a nice, clean, stylish look. The only downside is it doesn't quite deliver to the potential customer much of what we are about at a glance. It is a terrific design, none the less.

pennyln:
You've pretty much nailed it on the head. Up in the air about the colors (they are growing on us though) but the overall design is definately the type of logo we are looking for.

Thank you both very much for the quick responses. I'll follow-up tomorrow with more details as it's 11pm and I'm still at the office. Time to scoot to the homestead.

Thanks again,
JD

Here's another concept. You're just a couple of hours from me. I'm in Morehead.

pennyln:
Actually, after talking with the group per the overall site design, the colors you have on there will work out perfectly.

KelliShaver:
Great design! Just isn't quite what we were looking for though. Morehead eh? Cool, we offroad with a few people from there.

Thank you. :)

It looks like Bill has pretty well got a handle on this contest, so I think I'm going to back out and let him take it away. I have a few other projects on the go right now that could use a little more attention.

Thanks for the kind words and please keep me in mind if you're ever looking for someonen local. :)

KelliShaver-
You're very welcome, and I will definately keep you in mind when we do some more designs in the near future. Thanks again.

piece_of_mind-
Another great set of designs! I really liked the first of the two the best, the second was pretty slick as well.

Well, after much debate we have decided to go with the design by pennyln. I want to thank piece_of_mind and KelliShaver both for their great work. You both are very very talented. Thank you.

We had one quicker before. Too lazy to look for it now. :) I remember Bill won that one too.
