Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience - couples 25-40 years of age, mid to upper mid-level price range.

Who would you like to add to your audience? more clients who are looking an artist more than a photographer - who are interested in art, graphic design - more high end clielnts who understand you need to spend more for great photography. clients who want something different, modern and maybe a mix of styles.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? clean, modern, stylish

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) we want to appeal to higher end clients, so modern yet timeless - professional yet stylish. we came up with greys, teal/turquoise, subdued orange... we aren't married to anything yet though... working on website.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? we came up with 4 squares and the word 'four' however we are also not married to anything on the logo at this point and are open to ideas - but variations of this would be good to explore too.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? simple, fresh, modern...

What is your tagline or slogan? the blending of uniquely creative visions; a professional collaboration of like-minded artists.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? artists creating modern and stylish yet timeless photography?

Where will your new logo be used? advertising, website, etc...

First of all, thanks everyone for posting some options so quickly. We'll need till Monday (tomorrow) to give individual feedback for each one, but so far I think we can rule out a few.

Bill - We aren't loving these. But thank you for jumping in first! They look sort of like what we tried on our own which we didn't love...which is why we decided to get options here from pro designers.

Pracus - We want to go with just the text Four, take out studios. Sort of like where you are going with the font but not in love with the symbol you used, it looks a little too "corporate" for lack of a better description. We're looking for something a little more fresh, boutique-y feeling.

For all the rest just posted, we haven't had a chance to discuss so we'll talk them over and get back tomorrow at the latest. In the meantime, we wanted to share some more info that might help.

We're working on the website for four, and here is the address for the website in progress. Thought it might give you a feel for the general look we are going for. We love the gray pattern we are using.

Our website in progress (http://67.23.243.236/~fours/index2.php#/home/)

And lastly we've attached a doc with some logos we found that we really liked after perusing the internet...some of them don't have much in common with the others, we just generally like them. Also attaching the ones we came up with on our own that we weren't in love with, but just to give you an idea...

Thank you all for the additional submissions, you all are very talented! We are working on reviewing them today and will get back soon. I do know that generally we'd like to stay away from anything too literal "camera/shutter/tripod" unless it is really stylized (though we sort of like xpressions ver 7) or too masculine, since we are a group of four women.

In the meantime, we would love to see a few more options more closely based off the inspirations we posted if possible. Especially love the "look" of these...like the use of frames/scrolls of some sort, while still keeping it modern/fresh if that makes sense.

Hi everyone - we've finally narrowed it down but would still love to see more options if anyone else wants to give it a go. It's hard getting 4 ladies to agree, but it also helped to narrow it down quickly because we all had to like the chosen ones.

So...so far our favorites are:

Pracus version 2
Glyphica version 1

There are quite a few others that two or three of us really liked, but all four of us agreed on the above two options.

We'd love to see more options similar to our inspirations if anyone wants to give it a go, and Pracus and Glyphica we'd love to see a few variations on these if you have time. Pracus could you try a modern non-serif font, and same with Glyphica? We'd just like to see what that would look like, if you think it would work.

Thanks again everyone, we'll check back in a little later today.

Hi all,

Thanks for the additional submissions! We hope to make a final decision later today, so if anyone has anything else to post please do so asap.

Likely, we'll want to do a little tweaking with the final chose logo. We appreciate everyone's submissions.

Ok, we've made a decision and we all agreed and have selected Glyphica Version 1.

We'd like to work on a few tweaks if possible. Could we see the shape of the box a little more rectangular, and can we see a few different non-serif modern font options? Can we see what it would look like to have the weight of the box and font a little thicker?

And lastly, we like these colors. We would like the gray to be the main color and then we like two more colors as accents. Possibly the tomatoish red and turquoise or the green and turquoise together. We've love to see some combos of these that you think might work.

Thanks everyone for submitting, it was a hard decision, lots of good options.
