I have 3 different business cards (not designed here) and was wondering if it was allowed to ask people which one they thought was better, since a lot of you have a design background.
Thanks.

Not sure if this is the best place to get a lot of responses from people, but here it goes: :)

I have a poll going on a computer forum and so far #2 and #3 are close...

I'm going for # 1 ;)
But hey you can always start up a contest here for a business card design ;)

In order of merit:
1
2
3
1 = Simple, modern, bright, eye-catching and clean.
2= Plain, hi-tech but ultimately forgettable :)
3= Very dated, and my eyes couldn't settle...
Nothing personal! Hope this helps :)

I waffle between 1 & 2. both pretty good but need refinement. By far last place is #3.

My favourite is #1 -- by far. I like the clean lines.
and Kootch... I have to disagree... I kinda like #3
Dunno exactly why... but I do. :)

I go for #1 for the simplicity, my opinion 2&3 are looking a bit "odd" for the business and would mean you would have to carry through the look on other materials .. that could be difficult for say web design?

Adding - I would be a little wary of opinions from the specialised compter forum folks, it needs to speak to the target market not peers.. :)

Actually, the reason I was leaning towards #3 was because he actually came up with a logo of sorts that I could use for web design.

I looked and looked, and couldn't figure out what you were referring to.
Then, they popped out at me.
Now... that's ALL I can see!

HOW DARE YOU DISAGREE WITH ME!! <img src='http://www.smallbusinessstyle.com/DesignOutpost/post-13-1063935830.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
I like #1 but think the company text is way too plain. Still not a big fan of #3.

number 1 is very pretty
I think all three designs are bad. The name you have chosen is sorta, well, I dunno. If I was at a cocktail party and handed those three cards, number three might have the potential to go into my pocket.
Some people think I'm harsh, others think I'm helpful.
Surely, if your this serious, you can run a contest here for a biz card design.

I think if you did #1 with The logo you posted (not the one on #3) It would look the best. :)
Just my 2 cents

Those three cards came from the result of a contest I had for $40 somewhere else. I'm sorry, but I can't afford to spend anymore money on it. <_<

Well we hope our free suggestions to you have helped you sort it out then :)
I think the majority was for #1 as the cleanest.. up to you ultimately what you do with your business branding..
all the best with it!

PS - not intending to be mean, but honey you get what you pay for :)
our guys here are a little sharper, a little better, but nope I don't think they design for peanuts or free -_-

I don't see how you can say $40 is peanuts when there are many logo contests going right now in your forums for $60-$75.
But anyways, thanks for everyone on their thoughts.

I don't think I phrased that quite correctly, <_< sorry.
I mean more like - your branding is worth investing in and if not completely happy it would probably be worth it to shoot again!

Maybe you're right. Even though I did spend $40 on the current ones, I'm sure there could be something better. Maybe after Christmas and I have some extra money I'll give it a try. Right now the money is pretty tight. :)
