Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Lead Paint Testing Of Virginia

Test for lead paint in buildings built before 1978
How long have you been in business?
New business
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Have a recognizable font and logo
What are your long term goals?
Grow the business to other areas of Va.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
May 10th, THERE ARE SEVERAL PARTNERS IN THIS BUSINESS WHO NEED TO REVIEW THE LOGOS. I WILL MONITOR THEIR INPUT AND PROVIDE THE FEEDBACK, HOPEFULLY I HAVE ALLOWED ENOUGH TIME FOR THIS
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Clientele of remodeling contractors who will have painted surfaces disturbed from renovations
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Municipalities, government, housing authorities , management of foreclosed properties etc.
Vendors
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Something creative yet able to place and distinguish on all marketing pieces
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Maybe the state of Virginia, not necessary
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We have made the investment to reliably test buildings for lead paint.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Don't have one but…..the safe and reliable test for lead paint the XRF gun (some variation to that)
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
We use an Xray gun to test that is by far the most reliable way to test for lead than swab sticks, its cheaper also. We area also educating our remodel contractors to not be afraid to make money from removing the lead painted items, show them how to use the paperwork required by the EPA,
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, correspondence, business cards, vehicle lettering, shirts, signs
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Don't have any in the area
List competitive URLs if possible
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Nothing right now, we need to look like the go to guys for a large contractor base, our testing equipment is very expensive to buy and maintain. We will be doing complimentary tests for remodelers clients who have painted toys or other non-house surfaces they are concerned about.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
I'm not sure, The owners and management of this company are currently either in the building, remodeling or real estate business, so we are way more knowledgable about the contractors job and concerns than a testing type company. We would be a "working with you " type co. The EPA will probably add rules that will require us to re-test the job when the contractor is complete. To add….the EPA will fine remodelers 37,000.00 per day ifthey are not in compliance with these rules!! Sorry if this is long but trying to give you information.
