Need Logo for New Closeout Website

Hi,
I have had work done here before, and you just cannot beat it anywhere, therefore, I want my new logo, for a new partnership to come from here.
Prize=$75
Contest is for Logo on Website AND Print
Letterhead and business cards.

Currently we utilize oscommerce (basic install) for our cart, however, we will be running a template contest here later (after xmas rush) for a better design.
We are getting hammered with orders for the leapster product and need this logo immediatly (to include in shipping).

Deadline is 3PM (EST), Thursday, December 4th.
Decision to be conveyed on Friday.

We need to convey a clear and concise point....
The prices are so low that it is crazy.

Madness is meant in the excitement way, please convey this in the logo.

Please keep in mind that our target audience is both Men and Women.

We are not set on colors, but would prefer to keep it low to lower the print cost, or to have a black and white (nice looking) alternative. If you cannot achieve your design in 3 colors, that is OK, please do the design as you wish, but also show us a black and white version.

Remember, the more entries, the merrier we all are. Don't forget XMAS is right around the corner, and I am sure you great designers could use some extra cash. Maybe you even need a Leapster :)

I like the stamp concept in the top logo
Good colors
Madness font in top logo doesn't fit well, the font makes the word look like it is shaking.

The second logo, I think this appears a little too dark for us. Dark generally conveys non energetic.

Not too fond of the font here. Seems to pointy to me.
I like the use of the $
I also like the middle color choice, blue/orange/lightblue



Piece of Mind
I like the top logo the best out of the 3 you submitted.
I like the tear stip in the background
I like the colors
I like the tag idea in the bottom submission

Could I please see the top logo in black and white also?



Font Recommendations (FOR ALL DESIGNERS)
I am finding that I don't like fonts that are similar to:
Wrought Iron
Antique
Gothic
Scary

These tend to hit a course of old fashioned with me, and for some reason I don't see old fashioned as perky.

Those latest ones are very nice.
A couple things were mentioned when I proudly showed the wife...


Love the fist with the money, but it gave me the perception that the business was taking the money. Could you work the savings in another way similar to how you did the savings with the scissors?

The foot....couldn't find much symbolization here, perhaps, "stomping the prices" ? Could you give me your idea on that?


The exclamation point sits very well with me, nice idea.

Font is nice, colors flow well....Overall great job!

Mowling...on your second edition... The font does't seem to flow with me. Perhaps it is the font and the $$ together. The colors with the orange I still like.

could I see another font and the lighter blue a bit darker. If you want to throw in a couple more with darker shades of blue, that would be ok, so I could see a scale.

glad you like my submissions; as for revisions I will post some later - but I don't think I can use the pricetag idea (if that's what you meant) as we're supposed to not copy each others ideas which I fully support.So unless Palmer approves, I can't use the tag thing - but don't worry, I'll supply you with some nice alternatives later. :)

About the foot thing: Yeah, was indeed meant as "price stomping" or "kick out the high prices" or similar - maybe I will alter that concept so the meaning becomes more obvious.

That's a tough call. Actually it would be best to get the ok from the designer who made the one with the price tag. Shopping sites and price tags kind of go together like pet sitting contests and dogs.

Hi Matt,

here are the revisions as requested; 1+2 are alternative concepts in terms of that savings topic - 3+4 are the same as the last one in my previous post but with a tag attached plus web address at the bottom; note that the in the "b" versions the tag is shadowed as well in contrary to "a" versions.

You may contact the designer whos logo you are interested in purchasing, agree on a price, pay through Design Outpost (http://www.designoutpost.com/post.htm), and then I will pay them.
