Need a great, catchy logo for our new start-up marketing company, called Admail. We will be based in Lexington, KY.

The company markets through the post office in odd sized print media. Companies purchase spots on the media and it is delivered to all mail recipients in a given zip code.

I was thinking of either playing off of the USPS logo, or incorporating the letter "A" into a mailbox in a cool way. Maybe a 3D looking arrow that's in a hurry, I don't know. Maybe a fast running horse ala pony express because we're in the Bluegrass and will be selling ads delivered by mail.

You guys are the graphic artists though so let your imagination run wild!

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Nothing has to be, but making Admail look cool creatively is an option. I like our tag line "Marketing You". Don't know if that would be too much to incorporate into a logo or not.

What type of product or service do you offer?
We sell marketing in different sized print media that focuses on mail saturation to a targeted zip code.

How long have you been in business?
Just a start up, but our parent company has been in business for 15 years.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Brand identity. We have ideas of marketing this as a franchise in the future as well.

What are your long term goals?
Make money for our clients, our sales force, our franchisees, and ourselves by working hard and being successful in our core business.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Friday if possible.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Businesses to Business sales, Business to consumer sales, fundraising projects, etc.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
None.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Bright. Youthful. Fun. Catchy.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Maybe a mailbox morphed into an A. Maybe a three dimensional arrow swirled into an A or writing Admail, maybe a take advantage of the Bluegrass area and have a Thoroughbred theme.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Confidence. Legitimacy.

What is your tagline or slogan?
"Marketing You!"

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Increased sales through decreased advertising costs.

Where will your new logo be used?
Stationery, marketing material, printed solicitation material, etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
None

List competitive URLs if possible
None

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We are the first among our peers to capitalize

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Aggressive

Hi,

Here's one based on your concept of a mailbox and "a" combined.

Let me know if you'd like to see any modifications or revisions.

Thank you,

Hi,

It was pointed out to me that the "a" is not very readable since the mailbox breaks up the shape, so I re-positioned it to be clearer. Thanks to Xpressions for the critique.

Here's a version with a different letter style for the "a". Possibly more readable.
