We would like an attractive and unique design for an email newsletter. It should be fresh and modern looking, with an exclusive feel. This newsletter is for exclusive members of a program of ours.

The title of the newsletter, for now, is Premier Insider. Near the top it should state what Issue it is (example: Issue 1 – July 2012). Also need the slogan: Win New Customers, Keep Current Customers, Make a lot of Money.

Please incorporate our website colors, the fancy black background image: https://www.printaudit.com/premier

For the background image, I’d like a picture of a big fancy room (ie. ballroom, or VIP room) then the newsletter overtop of this image. An example of what I am referring to for the background: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IykBhHjT-0A/TT7ytZIsoOI/AAAAAAAAAEs/dw8s1Fr3kMg/s1600/Scrap_Your_World_Newsletter_Jan_2011_pg_2.jpg
Fancy room examples: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-17812221-empty-ballroom.php?st=fb99a45

There should be 4 sections, with space for an image in each.

VIP Room: *this section is most important and needs to be near top*
Subtitle: Making Your Business Better, then fill in with sample text.
Image idea: red velvet rope stanchions to imply a roped off VIP area.

Sales Lounge:
Subtitle: Sales Tip of the Week, then fill in with sample text.
Image idea: two people in business suits, talking.

Tech Corner:
Subtitle: Support Solution of the Week, then fill in with sample text.
Image idea: Someone in a suit, looking at a phone or working on a phone

Feature Maven:
Needs to be divided into two parts. First part features one Maven (aka partner) of ours. I would like the company name, their logo, and their Exclusive Offer. Please use this company as an example: https://www.printaudit.com/premier/Account/MavenDetails/?code=p4p
Under the space above, there needs to be each of the others Mavens logos that are available on this webpage: https://www.printaudit.com/premier/Account/Mavens This part will be smaller in size than the Feature Maven part.

The following information needs to be somewhere on the newsletter:
- Follow us on Twitter, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn (all as a button as on our website: http://www.printaudit.com/about.asp)
- Contact us:
www.printaudit.com
Toll Free: 1-877-41-AUDIT (28348)
Phone: 1-403-685-4932
Support@printaudit.com – Sales@printaudit.com

Additional Info:

Company Details
1a) Name of Company: Print Audit
1c) Do you have a company logo? Please use logo at: https://www.printaudit.com/premier

Deadlines and Deliverables
1c) What is the deadline for your template design? I’d like to pick a winner by Monday July 9th.
2c) Will you require HTML coding? Yes
3c) If so, will you require it to be ONLY CSS layout? No CSS, should be HTML.

Hell Krishm,

Thank you for entering. I like colors & design of Version 1, but I like the section layout of Version 2. Can you please change the sections in version 1 to resemble the layout of version 2? I also like the font you used for the headings in Version 2 better.

You can remove the ":" after each heading name, except where it says Feature Maven. Put "Feature Maven: Print4Pay Hotel"

Please make the title of the newsletter, Premier Insider, a bit bigger.

Let's see what that looks like. :)

Thank you!

Thanks for entering silviu-ivan. I like your concept!

Can we try a different image for the background? When people receive this, we want them to feel like they are now part of the "exclusive party" by joining up for our services. So I'm thinking image of a fancy party. Something like this (but not New Years Eve or these colors): http://www.torontonicity.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Dolce-Social-Ballroom-NYE-Party.jpg

Try to stick with something that goes along with the black and gold we use.

Can you make the main part, the actual newsletter a bit wider. And the image in the background doesnt have to be as wide.

The newsletter sections wont be linkable so we dont need the More Details buttons. By making the newsletter a bit wider (and background image not so wide) we can use the space to put what we need.

Thanks!! :)

Krishm, I like revised Version 1B. The sections are a bit all over the place. I'd like a bit more of a cleaner look.

Can you also try a party image as mentioned above in the note to silviu-ivan?

Thanks so much! :)

Here are the revisions, with two options for the image background.
For a newsletter is not recommended to go above 600px wide because horizontal scrolling may appear, but if you want I can make it wider.

Let me know what you think.

Hi silviu-ivan,

In regards to making the newsletter wider, what I meant was the middle part, the actual content. Not the background image included. We don't need to see as much background image. Please just make the middle portion wider. :)

For v.2b, can you swap out the blue part of the background image (keep the people at the bottom), and replace it with the this image:
http://www.printaudit.com/temp/content_background.jpg
Keep it black on top, then fade into it, then fade out again near bottom closer to the people.

The images for each VIP, Sales and Tech section should be smaller to allow for more text on the newsletter.

Thank you! Awesome work.

silviu-ivan

Here we go. The width of the content is 740px now, compared to the previous versions which were 600px wide.

In regards to adding more text, we can do that without any worries. The background with the people will always stick to the bottom of the page, and the content box will just have a bigger height.

Hi Krishm, I like Version #4. I really like the red carpet at the top.

I'd like to switch the colors to incorporate the Premier website colors (black, gold). Here are the changes I would like to see:

- make the red carpet and stanchions image at the top a bit smaller (take out an inch or so of the red carpet).
- make the stanchions gold, not silver.
- switch the "flash bulb" effect colors to be a subtle goldish/white instead of blue/green.
- titles for each section gold instead of blue
- subtitles black and bolded instead of green
- Print Audit Premier logo in gold instead of blue. Also could you try making it look like the logo is embossed/printed on on the red carpet. I thought this would look cool, if possible?
- you can remove the blue Print Audit logo and the printaudit.com at the bottom.
- Try fading in this background on the sides: http://www.printaudit.com/temp/content_background.jpg
- Images in the Sales and Tech section can be a bit smaller.

Thanks! :)

Hi silviu-ivan,

I really like the middle content part, just the background I think needs to be switched up. I'm thinking the black background we use and the "party feel" images are too much of a contrast (traditional vs modern). Can you switch back to that fancy ballroom image (or similar image) as well as try and keep with the colors of the Premier website (gold and black). Switch the header titles from blue to gold, or black.

Let's see what that looks like. :)

Thanks so much!

Hi Krishm,

I like version 4a. The flash bulb effect looks a little more orange and red. Try and lighten that a bit to be more white with slight goldish look.

Let's try putting the Premier logo where the Issue # is under the header, maybe as a "watermark" or in black. Then put the issue # and date where the logo is now, on the right hand side.

Fade the black background image more on the sides so it's not as noticeable.

Another option I'd like to see, make the red carpet actually black and the red velvet ropes black. Then play around with the background image so that you can still see the carpet. This goes with our color scheme more.

I find that the Headings in gold kind of get lost.

Thanks!

Hi Paulo, thank you for entering.

The title should be "Premier Insider". I find the tag line "Win New Customers..." a little hard to read. Try making it a bit bigger.

I'm not too fond of the red carpet image and I find it takes up a lot of the room. Try a different image, and make the space for the image a bit smaller. Ideally I'd like more room for content.

For the sub headers in blue, please try a different color. We want to stick with black/gold color scheme.

Thanks! I look forward to your revisions. :)

Hi Krishm, I like version 5B. Great job on the colors. Here is some feedback from my team:

1. The top part (the carpet, rope & stanchions) still takes up too much room. Pretty much cut that area in half and that's the space we should use for this image.

2. Move the title "Premier Insider" to where it says VIP room

3. Take out the PA logo in blue and put the Issue # and Date there.

4. Put the PA logo in black where the Premier Insider and issue/date are now. Make it big to fit in the space, perhaps faded or blended into the background a bit. Almost like a watermark. To help it fit in that space, you can take out/hide the top rounded part of the logo with the stars. See what looks best.

5. Move the VIP Room header down to allow for the change mentioned above in #2.

6. The pictures under Sales and Tech can be a bit smaller, and lets switch up the picture to show more "party" images. For Sales section, should be a picture of 2-3 people in a lounge or a party, preferably in suits, chatting. For Tech, a picture of someone on their phone, at a party or in a lounge.

Thanks so much. Great work.

Hi Krishm,

Can you make the logo even bigger (almost double the size) and make it so its behind the stanchions?

I think losing some of the carpet took away the cool effect you created. We're trying to make the top image not use so much space, so let's try something like the attached picture we mocked up to show you what I mean below:

http://www.printaudit.com/temp/mockup.jpg

Try fading the carpet and stanchions slowly down to white and move the content section up a bit so its over top of the bottom part of the stanchions, but make sure the background is visible through. Keep the sides of the background fading to black and then into that fancy background image (as you do now). Move the Premier Insider title down a bit.

Also increase the width of just the white content section so that only a small amount of the black/fancy background image shows on the side.

I'm not too fond of the Sales and Tech section images but we can work on those later. :)

Thanks again. Awesome work.

Hi Krishm, let's try two versions.

Version 1: put the logo back on the side where the issue # is. Make it black. Move the Premier Insider header back to the top, where the logo is now. Make the font a bit bigger than you used before to make it stand out. Under this put the tag line (make the font smaller than the header):

Win New Customers
Keep Current Customers
Make a lot of Money!

Move the issue # to the top left of the content space, where the Premier Insider header is now.

Version 2: Same as above, just without the tag line. Move the content section up a bit more so more of the carpet and stanchions are "underneath"

Thanks! Great work.

Hi Krishm,

I like version 7 B. Let's make the top of the content section more transparent so you can see the bottom of the stanchions and the carpet a bit more. Or move the content section slightly down, but not too much.

Make the Premier logo about 15-20% bigger.

Put the slogan "Win New Customers.." at the bottom of the newsletter, in the black space below "Call Us Email Us" etc. Make the text white.

Thanks!

Hi Krishm,

Lets do the title Premier Insider on two lines, like you did for version 7 C but keep it black.

Move the content section down a tiny lbit more or fade more to show a little bit more carpet.

Make the Premier Logo bigger.

As for the slogan on the bottom, I meant to put the entire thing. :) Win New Customers, Keep Current Customers, Make a lot of Money. You can make this bold.

Otherwise, its great.

Thanks
