Logo for wetland consultant - $125

Hi, I've started a contest for a business logo. The prize is $125.
The name of the business is "Wetland Compliance Services." The nature of the work is to assist builders and developers with state and federal wetland protection laws. In other words we identify wetland boundaries, do restoration work, planting of wetland plants (I.e. cattails). This involves work with soil, plants including trees and shrubs, lakes, streams, marshes, etc.

As far as style and such, I'm pretty open. Color, I would guess earth tones and/or green? I plan to use this logo on letterhead and such. Please avoid use of birds and dragon flies as my competitors already are using those in this area.

Hi,

here are my first suggestions; 3 pairs of variations, each 1 non-shadowed thumb and normal size with shadow.I tried to keep it simple yet unique so I've put the emphasis on the type treatment here.

Thank you everyone for the designs you've entered. Selecting a winner will be a difficult decision. They all look good so I don't have any suggestions for changes at this point. I'm going to wait a few days incase someone is still working on a design. I'll then get some input from friends and award the winner on December 31st.

Hi,

Very simple, very inexpensive to reproduce, one color logo here. If you like the design, I'll be glad to give you some other color choices besides black.

Something subtle to notice: The word "Wetland" appears ever so slightly submerged.
