Sonrise Baptist Church

Hi, our church is currently in the process of starting a new work church in a differnet community. It is an exciting time. This community is the fastest growing area in the county. We have a pastor, a building, and even a Church Name: Sonrise Baptist Church. We want this to be a great start for this new work. We are having trouble coming up with a logo to respesent this church. We have tried various clipart arrangments but nothing that looks professional or high quality to put on letterhead, sign, brochures, ect.. We are open to any idea. again the church's name will be Sonrise Baptist Church. We have not selected any kind of color scheme, tag line, or theme. Open to all ideas. Thanks for the help!!!

I think that sounds very exciting. I wish the best for you and your new church. The idea in my logo is the sun resembles a sun but also resembles a crown of thorns. I was trying to get the sun/son correlation. Hope you like it, let me know if you have any ideas to make it better. Don't be shy :)

These are some great looking designs. I like the first two by Debbie, however I think they would be hard to use on letterhead and shirts because of the fade in the sun. I also like the idea from palmer. Maybe a little more excitment added. Trying to stay away from using the initials though. SBC is Sonrise Baptst Church but it is also Southern Batist Convention, and Southern Bell Company. Dont want to confuse people.

And here is another version. Thank you for the feedback on the first two logos. I got carried away and didn't think about how it would print on letterhead. I think you are right that they probably wouldn't work as well.

I thought of an idea last night. I thought of triangles pointing up to the heavans but also having them different colors like a sunrise. It also can resemble a churches roof. The sun rising can also mean the Son rising on the third day.

Anyway, hope you like it :)

I like the last entry you had with the sun outline behind the cross. Is there a way there could be a bit different cross? Maybe fuller or something.
