Deadline 1/10/04

Background

TicketLeap.com (http://www.ticketleap.com) is an online ticketing solutions provider which offers a fully integrated web-based system for the sale of tickets on the Internet to small and medium-sized venues.

We ran a 1/4 page ad in the last issue of "Spotlight", the bi-monthly newsletter for the American Association of Community Theatre (http://www.aact.org) (AACT). We need a new ad, this time a full page, to be in the the upcoming issue. AACT is an organization representing thousands of small community theatres throughout the US. This advertisment is targeted towards the management of these theatres, not their patrons.

Details

The ad must be black and white. We prefer a black background with white graphics & text. This stands out the most.

The final format needs to be Illustrator, with 2 copies...one print-ready with outlined text, the other in an editable format which can be used at a later time.

The ad must be a full page - portrait. 6 1/2 x 9 3/4.

We are open to many designs, but we are very pleased with the direction that we have taken on our 1/4 page ad in the example below. Feel free to experiment!!!

We would like to emphasise the $1 / ticket pricing more than has been done on the 1/4 page ad seen below. Aside from this change, we would like all the other text to remain the same.

Files

Here is the 1/4 page ad that was used last time:

<img src='http://www.ticketleap.com/ad/newsletterad.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

I'm overseas right now, and won't be able to check in as much as I would like. However, I will send comments daily.

Thanks!!!

Chris

p.s. - Have fun!!!

Chris,

Here is a quick mockup sticking with what you liked about the last ad. Let me know if you would like to take another avenue.

Jayson

Jayson,

Thanks for the mockup. I think it is an interesting re-use of our previous design. It seems that you may be able to do something else besides the arched text. Also, it looks like the top could be aligned better given the space and the readability of the text at the bottom with the white on white may be problematic.

Its a good start, but I would like to see some more new elements.

Thanks,
Chris

Little fun design here, think it places the emphasis where you want it, and would work well to draw peoples eyes to your ad. I didn't want to get too crazy with the text or anything, thought the beauty of it was the simplicity and the silouette of the crowd.

Thanks for the submissions:

One more piece of text to add to the designs:

No Website Required

-I want to convey the idea that the venue doesn't need a website to use our system.

Elemeno^P

Wow, I really like this design. I would suggest that we make the text easier to read on the bottom. The $1 grabs my attention, but the rest of it looks like it might not get read.

VisualSense

The design is very balanced and clean. I would like it to somehow spark extra interests in the eyes of people involved in Theatre.

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to more designs and updates!

I don't know what it is, but it just seems that the ad is too crowded and may not get the reader's attention. If you could do something to somehow make it less busy, I would be interested in seeing it. Additionally, you have an image of an orchestra on the bottom. This ad needs to be targeted towards theatres.

Elemeno^P:

I really like where you are going with this. I don't know which one I like better....I like them both. One more tweak: Could you emphasise further "Exclusive AACT Pricing"?

Thanks both!

Thanks everyone for the great submissions!!! We have chosen Elemeno^P's design. I think it looks very good and will definetely grab attention.

The others were good as well.

Elemeno^P, can you please make the tweak with "Exclusive AACT Pricing" that I asked for in my last post?

Thanks,
Chris
