Logo for youth outreach

I am a youth pastor of a four year old church in a rural area. Our church is designed to reach those who don't like church or previously have had bad experiences at church. We are being very successful at reaching unchurched teenagers. We have started a midweek outreach called "BLAST" which stands for "Big Loud Awesome Spiritual Thang!" The kids are loving it and are bringing friends. But it would really help in reaching the unreached in the schools etc. if we had a cool logo that is not too churchy looking. Can you help?

j-design I like this but could you try another font this one is hard to read. And would it be possible to see the same thing with some kind of explosion in the background also.

So far I like J's the best. I may give this a go this week, as I think the cause is incredibly worthy :)

Iv changed the typeface and added the background stylised explosion. Im a bit unsure of the explosion myself. Im from the less is more school of design....

j-design I think I agree with you, :D I would like to see this without the explosion. The font is much easier to read so that's cool
