Im currently taking a large A2 sheet we have which basically lists a load of questions and the pre arranged (mulitple choice) answers we have to give to the person on the other end of the phone. This is basically when we return from a rescue we can the relevant info out sooner :)

Im trying to turn the large sheet into an A4 or preferbly A5 sheet, with tick boxes that we can laminate, and then fill in before ringing the line, so it acts like a crib sheet so we can get the information across quickly and accurately.

The problem I am having is the font, for everything to fit, it has to be around size 8 and it looks too crushed and small. what font does anyone reccomend, so that the text shows up best and readable whilst still small :? I might have a PDF I can post later to show you what I mean if that would help.

For starters, don't use a serif font (times, plantin, garamond, etc...) as they're fairly difficult to read when reduced.

Try to use one of the popular sans-serif fonts (arial, verdana, univers, etc...). If it looks too squashed, just alter the leading and tracking. Size 8 text shouldn't be too much of a problem if treated correctly.

Hope that helps,

Jon

Yeah cheers John, Arial seems to be the best as far I can tell.

my problem now is getting it to look right, it just doesnt, ho hum back to the drawing board. What I need is a good form generator for printed documents :)
