In an effort to ensure a quick completion to your project and to monitor what is asked of the designers after they are chosen to complete your design, we have decided to create a new forum in which to post and complete any minor revisions you may have after the designer has been chosen as the winner.

Previously the policy was to work out revisions privately via email or personal message. From now on, those final minor revisions will take place in the Revisions Forum after a designer has been chosen as the one to finish the project.

When you choose a designer to "win" your contest, please announce them as the winner by posting a message in your contest thread. We will then move the thread to the revisions forum where the two of you can work out the final minor revisions semi-privately out of the view of the general public.

When you are completely satisfied you must "sign off" on the final design by posting that the project is finished.

If you choose to, you may sign off on a project when it is in the public forum if no final or further revisions are needed. Just state that no further revisions are required when you announce your winner and the designer will send the files immediately.

If this is confusing feel free to ask any questions,

Thank you

Good Idea to keep revisions on the forums.
I think an even greater enhancement would be to define as clearly as possible what is considered to be reasonable in terms of "minor" revision. Recent experience tells me that what designer thinks is minor is quite different to what an ignoramous of design, like myself, thinks ;)

It would be great if 10 MB space is provided in the same Revisions Forum for the artist to upload the image in final formats (PSD, Ai, etc.) You can still save drive space by giving a deadline to upload and download the final formats, after which the files will be deleted.

It's a good idea, but because it is a public forum I most certainly do not think that designers should be uploading their files where potential abuse could happen from outside the community.

Upload and download of work completed should be handled in private IMO.

DJP: We'll try to define what minor revisions are so there is no confusion when the contest ends.

Sunil: The final transfer of the zip file can be made via email. I don't think we need to upload it to the forum.

Dianne: Agreed

A little feedback on the new revisions forums.. it's great.. I love the way it reads in the forums overview area.. with the name of the comp/the winner(as description)/the contest holder all visible at a glance.

Good job!!
