Hello Tazaa

Do you have any ideas for fonts? I have over 12,000 at my disposal and it could take us a while if I were to guess! :lol2:

Bold? Modern? Script? Classic?

Thanks. <img src='http://www.eagleimagery.co.uk/smil3y/eaglesmile.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

sorry to everyojne for my late reply - I was desparate to check the designs - and give you feedback and direction but was out of town for a day. Thanks to evey designer for their feedback so far and more importantly their variations and efforts.

SOME MORE FEEDBACK

MOWLING - you certainly have the right idea as well, however I would like for you to play around with the colors - perhaps something touch brighter in green and one with or without those dots around the font. (I like the leaf in the background though)

MUTE DESIGN: markbeaudry has some good designs check out his 2logos from his design gallery on this design outpost website (the flow, power of 5) these 2logos will show you what I like for "tazaa foods" they are simple, playful, clean and eye catching. Use those 2examples as an adaptation for "tazaa foods" thanks!

DYNAGIRL - lets try go with a lower case also perhaps with a script font (not sure if that makes sense) and brighten up the green a little. I Like your concept though with the seed...your on the right track

thanks to all and sorry for not replying earlier and posting some PMs when it was against the rules (I had problems posting earlier).

thanks for your efforts.

EAGLE -
good job! oh yeah looking good! lets try and tweak.

1) change red to a GREEN- you pick, change the yellow to WHITE.
2) do one with the TF with the green and then one without the TF and replace with some type of leaf or some icon that would be representative of organic or fresh produce. The icon can look like it was painted on.

thanks for your efforts!

mowling - if possible can you brighten up colors a little...currently you have the right idea but the colors appear "dull"

1)make the background white -
2)if you are going to use yellow, try a more refreshing a brighter one for the leaf.
3)a brighter green perhaps.

thanks for your efforts!

ED - kindly get rid of the stars on the logo and also the flowers before and after the word "foods", however I like that particular font the best - Lets get more focused now and stick with first 1 from each style- I want to decide between the first on both styles, the woman with the basket as well as the other one in blue and green - I was hoping we can then start experimenting with a few colors since I am content with the typography and look. Thanks!

BEATZ - have a look at markbeaudry work under designers he has 2logos "power of 5" and "flow" I would like a similar style, free flowing, earthy, high-end, simple, clean - use of green, yellow yeah. The logo you have done looks mainstream supermarket, restaurant looking. Just think of earthy, healthy organic and fresh produce - doesn not need to look indian in terms of font or colors. Thanks for your help!

thanks! for your efforts.

02-12-2004, 05:54 PM

Can we do a variation now with cutting down on the colors. maybe using 2-3) - also one with script font - thanks! good job!

RAJA - rani kithey hey...please keep the designs very fresh, simple, clean and script like. (I like the walnut logo you have, not the font but the walnut if you can attempt something similar that would be great) waiting for your entry, go for it.

DEADLINE TO ALL: MONDAY 16TH FEB - 7pm western pacific time.

Hi. Some color variations.

Thanks

Ed

tazaa_foods
02-13-2004, 09:22 PM
DYNAGIRL - something more to note - let's try and make the word "tazaa" stand out more - a good way of doing that is probably making the word "foods" smaller - or another variation would be to keep two different fonts. The word tazaa is key therefore I was hoping that would stand out more as a brand name for me-since thats where all the meaning lies.

colors - in addition to the earlier recommendation of cutting down colors, lets also try some non-pastel shades.

thanks and your effort has been great-looking forward to the changes!

***DYNAGIRL*** IMPORTANT

thanks for adding them to the jars, good job - I dont mind color lets keep it to 2/3. At this stage the logo looks very gourmet - which is night and day from the organic market which is more fun, playful, mom and pop, fresh and homemade like.

I think you are surely on the right track with the concept of the seed however we need to take it the final stage of developing it into something more bright and playful. These are 2 more examples, I am no starbucks fan but hopefully these images help you but obviously I wouldnt want so many colors- but surely that type look and feel.

Therefore stick to the seed concept its a good one and a smart choice try and vary it a little.

thanks for your help!

pls note contest is over on wed at 7pm wst.

1) get rid of the word "foods"
2) get rid of tag-line as I will be explaning the meaning in the labels

1)instead of the coffee bean image you can have the LEAF in a similar way
2)take away the word french replace with word "indian"leave that orange

***palmer***** - I am aware of the similarities - I have noticed that telling the designers to tweak a little bit at a time has helped, and thats the route I am taking - that stamp you have seen will never be used by me since its too obvious a rip-off. It was merely to show the designers where to head with the type of market - since a good chunck were not following guidlines. I expected something more original but the one I pick will eventually remain clear of any lawsuits and will be an "original" -!

**********CONTEST WINNER - ***MOWLING*********** see you at the revision forum for minor tweaks.

REASON - the logo gives me allot of room to adapt to flavors of sauces, and transalate into different sauce flavors by simply changing the color and replacing the word "mango chutney" - its a fresh, earthy look that I was looking for, more importantly its also simple looking.

SPECIAL THANKS TO: DYNAGIRL - I think she set the trend and had produced some great work - I went with the consensus at the end because I couldnt decide between the two-it was a very tough choice.

Eagle, raja, mute design, ejlain, pennyln, THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENTRY - your ideas and variations made me really see what the possibilities were with my brand name!

*****MOWLING******

this is the parent logo final revision

tweaks required for FINAL PARENT LOGO:

1) the leaf needs to look more like its been sketched, done by hand, it will make it look even more homely~
2)there is a line on the side, to the right of the leaf, I was curious to know how it might look without it.
3)around the black borders- please put tiny dot effects- I am not sure what the hell I am talking about but its that look that makes it look a little rustic/old. A bit like when you are running out of ink when printing-
4)everything else looks fresh

THAT SHOULD COMPLETE THE PARENT LOGO.

next message to follow will be the adaptations of the final parent logo- which is nothing more than replacing the words mango chutney and replacing colors and a picture of the sketched leaf being replaced by the flavor of the sauce each time.

thanks

The bottom versions I cut it down to 3 colors(2 greens at 100% & black) The top version is also 3 colors...the lightest green is the same pms color as the bright but it is at 50%...so I don't think there will be an extra charge for another color since it is the same spot color...giving it the appearance of 4 colors...but you'll have to ask your printer if they will consider that a fourth color. Let me know if what other revisions you need.

3)inside the black borders- please put tiny dot effects- I am not sure what the hell I am talking about but its that look that makes it look a little rustic/old. A bit like when you are running out of ink when printing-
4)everything else looks fresh

THAT SHOULD COMPLETE THE PARENT LOGO.

next message to follow will be the adaptations of the final parent logo- which is nothing more than replacing the words mango chutney and replacing colors and a picture of the sketched leaf being replaced by the flavor of the sauce each time.

thanks

****matt***
basically this should make more sense

1) the leaf needs to look more like its been sketched-right now it looks to hard-edged, too perfect almost, pls make it look like it was done by hand-sketch, it will make it look even more homely~

2)INSIDE the black borders- please put tiny dot effects just a bit will do- I am not sure what the hell I am talking about but its that look that makes it look a little rustic/old. A bit like when you are running out of ink when printing-I LIKE THOSE DASHES YOU MADE OUTSIDE THE LOGO LEAVE THAT- that looks cool!

thanks and sorry if I am confusing you.

When you say the leaf needs to look sketched...done-by-hand...are you talking about the green of the leaf or the black outlined shape of the leaf or both? Regarding the line on the right side of the leaf...so your not talking about the line extending vertically? Is it the line that extends horizontal across the middle? If so
do you want me to remove the whole line from left to right or just the part that extends past the right of the leaf? I gottcha on the spotted effect...I didn't read that carefully...I will get to that right now.

****matt*** YEAH THANKS MATT its a winner.

you want to do the 3sauces, time is on your side but there ain't much since you have already done the logo.?

1)you need to replace the leaf with a sketch that represents the sauce - I.e maybe chilli or spinach etc.- there are 3- I will tell you what they are

2)keep the same logo look uptop nothing needs to be changed other than text but add the extra bar below the logo where it says mango chutney-keeping the same feeling as our final logo I.e the rough homely organic look (refering to the mango chutney from our previous attempts) with the flavor name I provide
3)the green color will change with each sauce to differentiate it from each other.
4)I will tell you the ingredients so that it can be added on the label at the back of the jar
5)add to jar hexagon, octagon shaped to see how it looks.

let me know .?
thanks!
