QUICK DEADLINE: Thursday, February 26, 2004
Winner will be selected Thursday night
Prize: $65.00

Size: 11" x 8-1/2" (landscape orientation)

This is a certificate that will be awarded to automotive service facilities that have achieved a certain level of standards to be an "environmentally friendly" service facility. A Green Star Facility is environmentally sound, including recycling and safely disposing of waste products.

These awards will be printed on a color laser printer (therefore no bleeds) and then framed. We need to be able to add the facility name and award date to the certificate design.

Actual Title of Award: "Green Star Service Facility"

Presented by the Automotive Service Association of Missouri / Kansas (ASA logo with "Missouri / Kansas" under logo)

Design Concept: I am envisioning something with "green" as the main color (I was really stretching my creativity on picking that color!!). The design doesn't have to be automotive related. I am more concerned that it represents eco-friendly and professional.

Format: Adobe Illustrator

DesignGeneral and Dynagirl . . . thank you for your submissions. Here are a couple of comments:

DesignGeneral - As stated above, I need a professional design/layout that isn't "cartoonish". Would also prefer less green.

Dynagirl - Good professional appearance. No bleeds possible. Also would recommend changing the graphics on each side of the ASA logo to perhaps a recycling logo or something less feminine. Less focus on the ASA logo and more focus on Green Star Service Facility. Great overall concept.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

DesignGeneral - closer. Several comments: font is too feminine for the "Green Star" wording; less focus on the ASA logo and more on the Green Star Service Facility. Can you try a different star?

Thanks!

Waxwing: nice professional layout. I like the incorporation of the yellow to break up the green. Can you do two things: make the ASA logo narrower - it is too long and narrow. 2nd - try a different font for the Green Star Service Facility title.

DesignGeneral: design not quite what I am looking for.

 we have a winner . . . WaxWing. Only change is to round the car tires just a bit. I prefer the first option for the font, but the last revision with regards to the ASA logo. Please submit either an AI or EPS file to sheri(AT)asamokan.org

Great job.
Thanks!
