Previous topic description: $40-Edit right side of a web site header
(Admin code added by Palmer - 37968946)

Bottom line: I don't have the time to complete some basic modifications to a client's new web site header.

Here is the PNG with layers. (http://www.capitolwebdesign.com/clients/aim/aim_header_portion.png)

<img src='http://www.capitolwebdesign.com/clients/aim/aim_header_portion.png' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

Here is the new web site. (http://www.newaim.org)

Goal: Get rid of the marble columns. Replace them with something more media related (newspaper, tv, radio, etc).

We want to have something that does not draw attention away from the site, but nicely compliments it. The new right-side header MUST work and blend nicely with the other two portions of the current header at the new web site (ie. have a dark blue bottom, and a grayish section in the middle).

Entries will be closed: March 8, 2004 - Monday 12 noon.
Winner will be announced: March 10, 2004 - Wednesday 12 noon.

Thanks much to all, and good luck!

G)(G,

Great idea. The satellite is probably a little too techy, but you're on the right track (making sure the image blends into the rest of the banner).

Thanks!

edit:spelling, deleted extraneous info (see next post)

I didn't mention this in the first post, so I apologize, but please have the following in mind: the design is fluid CSS where the right header is 389x109. So that is how big the "right side" should be.

Hey BJ,
Here are a few that I put together.
Let me know what you think.

Thanks :)

elements,

Nice work. The third is the best in my view, as I can't really tell what the first two are. Although the large fingers may startle some visitors... :)

NOTICE: You don't have to maintain the jagged edge of the blue, it can be straight as in the example I posted in my original message.

G)(G,

The man with the paper looks nice.

Anne,

I much prefer the newspaper look in the first example. It is excellent.

Thanks to all, keep those entries coming. :)

I will be posting the winner tomorrow afternoon. I apologize for the delay.

Ok.

The consensus winner is elements' third entry, the newspaper with magnifying glass.

Thanks much for all the entries!
