(Admin code added by Palmer - 196870W)
Hello again, im back for more after a great response to my web template. Anyway ill get started.
Website: http://www.xtccomputers.co.uk
I'm looking for a professional logo, thats simple and ozoozes quality. Needs to work on both white and black backgrounds also work in color and B&W (for letter heads).
Color wise it needs to fit into my websites "theme" and would "like" (I.e doesnt have to have it) it to have an image with text so you can tell itsmy company just by looking at the image.
Logo's I like are the xbox logo (and the one in the orb), the logitech logo, THX logo, ATI logo and especialy the gamecube logo (that ones amazing)
Art styles I like would be, reflective stuff (like the buttons on my website), shiney orbs and pixel art.
Last but not least is if you can make it vector then all the better! if not then its not such a bother. Good Luck!

Here is something I used before (letter "a"). Also, letter "b" was looking really familiar so I didn't finish it, but if you like that style, I may be able to work something out.

Hey,
I had this one from a previous contest, do you think it could work here with some reworking?
Thanks,

hope you like it ;)
p.s: I reduced the quality a bit , to reduce files size.

Here we go! The symbol is an abstract merging of XTC. The image is all vector and scalable.

wow, I was worried that no one would respond! looks like its now exploded.
RedLizard - I like the logo style, no to sure about how close together the xtc is, I like the black on the most and the bottom on im not quite surewhere the xtc bit is?
blackspot - I think your logo are abit to corperate, if you no what I mean... im looking for the wow factor. But the X in the orb like thingi do like, maybe work on thata bit, make it shiney red add a bit of carbon fibre look maybe.
CBaker14 - Sorry it doesnt work for me at all, far to "cartoony".
Web Rhino - I like the industrial look (that what I think it looks like!) that you have donebut im looking for a logo with an image really, just text doesn't cut it as I believe it isn't so recognizable. Like they say, im image says a 1000 words.
RadicalSEED - Wow, I must sayit has the wow factor for surebut the text is a bit out of place next to the great logo. I Like the water mark you did a lot more than the black and white version. Maybe add a bit of carbon fibre look, maybe add onto the circuit look bit more in the logo. Add a bit of shineyness to it...
I hope ive given you some idea to work from! Thanks.
Here are my ideas. Comments welcomed.

And another without the circuits.

wwwzone - Nice, but im looking for an image to associate with the business name, rather that the name itself, so later on I can just put the image on its own.
[edit]
wwwzone - the last one has grown on me, try to expand that idea a bit more with cicuity maybe and stuff like that.
RadicalSEED - I like the changes, somewhat, but it feels to much like the first lot. The text needs to be changed, its not eligant enough. Heres something I came up with, maybe try something like this but with circuity coming out of the X, but rather than straight lines have some of them stop at little points like real circuity. Take a look at my website http://www.xtccomputers.co.uk on the top right hand side for an example.

blackspot - nice, we are getting there! I think that xtc computers bit is taking up to much room maybe decrease the sizer a bit and make the xob more round maybe... tweak it and see what you come up with.
Note to all people Try and make the XTC Computers bit and the logo go well together... the best example ive is wwwzones last logo. Example in the real word would be gamecube (the GC letters and it being cube, makes it fit exremly well).

I'm not good at things like that, but I made the font and font size changes to my exsisting entry.

Raja - Not quite sure how the laptop fits wit XTC Computers, but you have the right idea... something to associate(sp?) with the name, maybe not a laptop since I dont sell them :S a computer maybe? Try the X and the orb on for style and see how it goes but I like the fact your trying to come up with something new.
Blackspot - Im still not getting the quiality feeling from your logo, it looks nice but you wouldn't associate with top quality products. Try something more futurist with the font. Try something new, like the orange operator logo with xtc subtracted from it, and subtracted circuity coming from one side. Stuff like that.
To ALL- Try and get some circiuty into the image, making it look futuristic is a bonus!

Thanks for the feedback, the logo was a merge of the letters XTC, and in the second entry, I was trying to emulate a computer monitor and keyboard.
Not sure what you mean about the X and orb...

woah! no offence but thats to much, im no so keen on the overlay technique... it looks better if its drawn. Maybe try and put the logo into the orb ive linked below, with white drawn circuity.
Here some resorces ive made, this is for everyone... see what you can come up with... you dont have to use this.

Needs to work on both white and black backgrounds also work in color and B&W
I'm a little worried that with so much detail, it will not translate well to one color.
I had some trouble with the circuity you requested, but was able to make the orb. Another of my worries is that is looks VERY familiar, but I just can't place it.
Let me know what you think.

well, about the B&W... the logo would be in essance two logos, like what radicalSEED has done, a more complex for the website and a sinmple B&W one like his watermark. Ill do a mock up tomorrow about what I want. Im not very good at explainging things :help:

im finding it hard to explain so ill give it one more shot...
Bassicly it's the best deisnged X that win, the orb is my idea to premote fresh idea's. Of course you dont have to design an "X" and have a logo with "XTC" in it. Im giving you the choice of design!
I hope that makes it clear, ill write some feedback later when im back from work. cyas.
I have an Idea for an X
I get it done on monday

CBaker14 - I like what youhave done with the circuity, but the X and the text really dont go well, the second one is better but still the X looks like its just part of a font. Make it more "designed" so to speak.
RadicalSEED - Can you make the orb red like your very first entry but make the circuity bigger and drawn like cbakers version.
About the fonts, last night I went through 1001freefonts.com looking for suitible fonts (or so I think) and came up with a list:
BORN
BEWARE
ARCHITEXT
BRANDNEW
BITWISE
A.D MONO
CAPTIAN FOOD
BLAKE
BLADE RUNNER
ANIME PORNSTAR
BATTLEFIELD
COLONY WARS
COMSIC ALIEN
DEFECT
ELECTROHARMONIX*
EXCELSIOR
FACTOR
JUDGE
FAKE PLASTIC
NEO GEO
GOTHAM NIGHTS
PLANET X
PLANET N
SOFA CHROME
SUPER
UNEXPLODE
GALAXIES
XCELSION
Try these fonts and see what you get.

CBaker14 - its a bit to cartoony still, I think its the stroke thats doing it, remove the green also.
blackspot - Im liking it, but circuity needs to be added to the orb
heres a list of words my company and my logo should assocaite to, maybe this will help?
Futuristic
realistic
Fast
Computer
quality
technicial
circuity
power

blackspot - I like what you did with the shadow and that but the power cord is to much, its looking nice,
CBaker14 - nice!, can you make the lightening more local to the X and remove the xtc computers bit?
