Hi,

This contest is to develop a logo for my communications website.
The website is currently very unprofessional and I will be completely revamping it starting with a new logo.

YouNeverCall is morphing into a general communications company offering sales of wireless phones, broadband phones, web marketing services, wholesale telecom solutions, etc.

I want a creative logo that fits with the name 'younevercall.com', looks professional but not dull. The logo should suggest communications but not be narrowly focused, on cellular phones for example.

I like the colors green and blue for this, but please use your creativity.

Deliverables:
- logo on its own
- logo with the name of the website integrated (with name to the right or below or both)
- transparent background version

Logo should work well as part of a header on the website as well as on a business card.

I plan to receive your entries by March 23rd and make a decision by March 25th.

Bill: I like the text but thats a powerful color - I need something less extreme. The image looks a little too cute...

Piece-of-mind: I like your entry - the colors work for me. I understand teh sad face fits the name, bt I dont want people depressed! Can you make a variation on this without the upset suggestion?

Great Entries!

I am favoring entries that look like a cell phone retailer logo.

Christain: really interesting, but I think something that says "cell phone store" will work better for me.
Piece of Mind - I think we need happy rather than blah.
Beatz: I like what you've done - especially the circle with arrows and the one where the 'o' is a phone symbol - can you try something like that but with thicker rounder letters and some color?
Moz: It doesnt really say to me - we sell telecom services..
Ed: I think an image that says 'phone' works better than wires - we sell a lot of wireless...
Muvment: very attractive but not obvious enough what this is.

Here's another draft!


So ok ok! The guy/girl thinks the other guy/girl never calls because he/she always leaves his/her phone in silent mode, so there's the little phone vibrating and no one's picking it up! I know it's farfetched but was just an idea that came to mind when designing this logo! :lol2:


PS. this is probably the first logo I've done with a background story! :lol:

:) Mark - I like the concept and the colors, but I am undecided about the cellphone guys.

I am sending all the designs presented so far to a group of colleagues for their review.

I hope to narrow it down to 3 finalists by tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for their creative entries.

We have narrowed it down to two designs that we think work best for our business:

- Enjoi
- Mark Beaudry

Mark: Maybe the green needs to be a different (livelier) color (like orange?) What about having “you” and “call” in the same color (so that once it’s “you call” and once “you never call”?

Enjoi: Can we try brighter colors at least for the "display" of the phone.

Also if either of you can show me what it would look like with the logo alongside as opposed to above. Will it work? Or how would it look on a business card for example.

Hi Mark,

To wrap this up I believe I need from you the following:

1) The logo (alongside and on-top versions) with the final colors orange/blue. high res and low res versions.
2) What is the font you are using for the small text - I need to be able to change the subtitle for various needs later on.
3) GIF version of the logo with transparent background.

When I get these from you I will pass them on to my GUI person for approval and then okay the contest's completion!
