Our student ministry is called Gravity Youth. We are starting a youth worship service called Velocity. I'd love to have some sort of identity for this worship service to make it stand out.

I tried to use this person before but the design didn't win, but I thought it may fit here. In case you are wondering... Youth are always trying to fight "gravity" (at least I DID!!), but there is someone there to keep them "grounded".

This time I worked with the right name and concept! ;)
I tried to depict speed or movement as well as work in the letter "V".

Hello, I have two ideas here--both are essentially a simple type treatment.

Is this the direction you have in mind, or are you after something more worship oriented? Also, what age group is being targeted here, exactly?

I like the first of your ideas. I do like the "O" that looks a bit like a target.

I would love the design to be worship oriented. The youth ministry targets 7th through 12th grade.

Here you go... went back to the original font. Also, I removed the gradient and added a few things.

I also changed the cross a little just as an option. I can put it back or make it a different way, maybe match the "V" a little more.

Looks good. I liked the other cross better...the pointy cross bar...I think that goes better with velocity. What did you mean by matching the "v". I'd love to see what you think. Thanks for all your hard work.

By matching the "v" I just meant more curved than straight. But if you like th pointy cross better, you probably won't like the curved cross.

I like the rougher look. Can you change the colors up. Can the red be a dark orange--almost rust like? I'd love to finish this up this week.

Looks great...this is probably just being picky, but could it be more oranger? Besides that I think we're good to go. I'm not sure how we finish things up though...
