View Full Version : ZoeZ.co.uk - Ladies Club/Dance Wear
(Admin code added by 2Square - VU9629206)
prev. top. decsc.-$90 prize to be completed by 31st March
Hey Guys,
I am running this contest on behalf of a client. The contest is to design a logo which will be used as the banner headline for a web site which will be selling Women's Club/Dance Wear.
I should point out that some of the clothing is rather risqué (see examples at http://www.brilliantwebsolutions.co.uk/zoez.jpg). However, it is very important that the logo is smart and sophisticated - we are very keen that the logo should not look at all 'tacky'.
My client likes the idea of spelling the name with mixed case - 'ZoeZ'. The logo should show the logo with and without the '.co.uk' as we have not decided if that will be included in the logo.
Colourwise, the web site will have a white background so it is important that your logos also have a white background. My client would like bright, vibrant colours such as blue and pink (possibly fluorescent).
If possible, it would also be useful if the logo could be used as a label in the clothes at some point in the future. However, it is likely that just the letter Z would be used for this so it would be good if the Z was unique enough to be used in this way.
Files should be in Photoshop format and come complete with all required fonts etc for Windows.
I hope this is enough information for you guys. Please post back here if you have any questions.
Good Luck
James

I'm assuming you mean 580 pixels in width as the maximum? Don't you feel that is a bit restrictive? I mean, who runs in 640x480 anymore?
But, you're da boss! Image reduced.

So you haven't checked to see what it would looks like at 800x600, not forgetting the colomn to the left with your username and badge ;)
Thank you :)

My wife suggested I soften up the text a bit...
Sorry the for delay in replying guys.
OK, the one which we are most impressed with so far is the one by muvment. We really like the lady behind the logo but we're not sure about the font. Can you try a more bold (as in strong) font as we think the one you've used reminds us too much of a surfing kind of brand.
The other logos are all really good but we're not sure that they fit the kind of image we are going for. Maybe now you have a better idea of what we like you might come up with some other ideas?
Anyway, great work so far and lets see what else we can come up with in the next few days.

I've added the female element to my previous design.
Muvment, please let me know if feel this infringes on your concept at all.

Hi
Inspiration : The women and style.
Hoping this is the classy high end branding/logo that you are after, please let me know.
Thanks
Fabian
Thanks for the updates guys.
muvment - That's getting more like it. The font seems a little plain now (I promise I'm not trying to be awkward!). Do you have something which is easy to read but a little more interesting? Also, can you include the .co.uk.
arthouse - That's more interesting. I definately like the use of the lady's silhouette, although the first of the two works best for me. The second one looks strange because of the way in which the lady protrudes from the side of the logo.
MOZ - Wow. That's certainly unique! Could you do a full logo with that style so I can get a feel of what it would look like?
creativemeasures - I quite like that. Would you be able to do it in colour so I can see how it would look? Can you also try and alter the lady's hairline? It looks a little unnatural at the moment.
Thanks for your great work so far. The contest ends in less than 24 hours so we'll be making our final designs tommorrow.
Cheers
Here's your request
It might be too much for the whole name, but the Z would be excellent for the clothing tag!

No problem, here is the coloured version.
The reason I left the hairline the same,as a coloured version it makes her seem more lifelike with a fringe otherwise if her hair is too symmetrical and my little lady is going to look like she's wearing a hair helmet. If you still want me to change it please feel free to let me know.
Thanks
Fabian

It's a tight line we all walk, isn't it?
;)
OK, firstly my humble apologies for the delay with our decision.
I'd like to say a big thanks to you all for your work and really excellent designs. They were all really nicely done and we had a real difficult time choosing our winner.
In the end we have decided to go with Muvment's design as shown below.
Again thanks to all and good luck in the future.
