[Project Complete] Commercial Real Estate Site Template - $200

Hi All,

We had great success with our last contest, so we're doing it again! :P

This contest is for the site design for a commercial real estate company. Basically, what we're looking for is a 'main page' template (and a 'content page' template once the main page is finalized) that includes the usual stuff, I.e. 'Products/Services', 'About Us', 'Contact Us', etc. pages.

Our client wants a clean design, specifically a white or light colored background with color choices that blend well with the company logo (attached below). Some sites that our client likes as examples:

www.tdmk.com (has some flash, we're not looking for anything that fancy)
www.quine.com

Other considerations:

1) Our client would like to avoid images of residential real estate (I.e. houses, apartments, etc.) and focus rather on commercial properties (I.e. restaurants, shopping malls, etc.)

2) The company has an all female staff. I'm not sure if this helps or not, but you never know... ;)

We'd like the template to be purely HTML, I.e. not a Dreamweaver or other template. We'd also prefer CSS to be used.

Ok folks, I have some feedback on the designs we've seen so far.

Jereme:

We like the overall simplicity of your design, and the graphic at the top is great. However, our client likes the idea of the 'featured property' incorporated into the other designs. If you can squeeze that in somewhere, we'd like to see it.

Shelley:

Great design. The 'featured property' idea is fantastic. However, we'd like the additional 3 pictures of the featured property removed and just have the one larger picture (enlarge slightly), leaving more room for text.

Anne:

Nice clean design. We're not sure what the text box with the border below the 'Welcome' section is for, let's get rid of that and leave more room for text. Also, our client does not like the escalator graphic at the top at all, can you use something like commercial buildings instead?

We like the header graphic a lot more than the other one. Good work.


FirstWave:

A couple of comments:

1) Please fix the typos in 'Propertys', 'multi0plex', and 'realestate'.
2) We don't like the thick white (uneven) border around the graphic in the 'Featured Property' section. Something different would be good.
3) The header graphic is too muted.
4) Can you put some placeholder graphics in the 'Properties Just In' and 'Recent Listings' sections?
5) The spacing of the header and nav bar at the top is awkward, too much space below the logo. Make the logo bigger or shrink the section or something.
6) We're not looking for a 'content' template page until we decide on a winner.

Yes, there will be revisions. We are discussing this with our client and will have final changes in the next few days. I'll let you know.

We'd prefer the template to use CSS if possible. Let us know if this is a problem for you.

I can't build the whole site on only CSS because I don't know how without using tables. I can use CSS for the text, background etc.

That's fine, we just want to make sure we can modify the navbar, etc. so we want CSS for that...

Revisions:

Please remove the 'Products' section of the navbar and replace it with 'Properties'. We'd also like a drop-down menu capability for at least the 'Services' link.

That's it. Everything else is great.
