Yes, another lawn service. Texas Turf Guys is a full service lawn and landscape company in North Texas. We provide both mainenance and installation. We are open to ideas and look forward to seeing what you've got!

We'll be using vinyl graphics for white trucks and white trailers. We want to be able to use it for everything including t-shirts, caps, letterhead and business cards. I'm new to this and welcome any ideas. I will check back tonight and as often as possible. Thanks for your input. This contest will end April 3, 2004.

Just wanted to let you know that I am working on something for you. I actually have something done, but it doesn't "say" lawn service at all. I should have something soon.

turfguytx
03-25-2004, 11:25 AM
Maybe I've given too much info. I'm thinking of a unique or distinct layout of the name. I don't need all those landscape graphics. I can give more direction once the process gets started.

Blackspot: Thanks for responding. I don't need it to say lawn service. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got.

Thanks for responding. I don't need it to say lawn service.
By "say", I meant it doesn't even have any green in it.
When I read your name, I immediately thought of this, but...
It doesn't "say" lawn sevice to me.
But, here you go.

Blackspot, that's something that was in my head too. I think it's maybe a little too simple. Can you give a contempary layout? thanks

Muvment, that's a good start. The font used in "TURF" is a little hard for me to read.

Please be a little patient with me, this is my first. :P

Nice first attempt! Please revise with "GUYS" in it. Can the panhandle be straightened? It looks to be leaning. Thanks for the replies. I'm going to be offline for awhile. I'll check back tonight.

I really like the bottom left one. (2 greens) I can't think of any changes for it. Could you show me what it would look like on letterhead and business cards or anything else. Good work!

I'd still like to see what else is out there from the others though. Thanks.

By the way, I'm getting married tomorrow, so I may not get much time to check in. Thanks again.

Thanks for the congrats, Guys!! II figured after 8 yrs to make things right. :D

Just some quick feedback to keep things going.

Muvment: I like the slant, but would like to see "Texas" and "Turf Guys" with separate colors. Maybe flag colors for "Texas" and green for "Turf Guys". Maybe different fonts still.

Jason: I like the idea of the flag being used,(doesn't have to be) but would like to see maybe a more elegant? font.

Are there any other designers getting in??

I've gotta run. As always, THANKS!

this is a wrong way to go ...I mean, to show texas state map or using the symbols so literally. I am not saying it is wrong to make logo related to the state itself. Take a look below. It is enough to use the font wisely to hit the target. I chose GeoSlab which has sharp serrifs, and is bold and strong. The mark itself is a combination of two letters T with the grass shape cut out of the base. Nothing to add, nothing to take away... And I decided not to show you the logo alone, but to present it on t-shirt , and a cap. Looks good I think!
All the best!

Arthouse, looks good. I like it better than the ttg steer. (good job though) It makes me think of a branding iron. Could you put a handle on it and see what it'd look like?

Cadii, The very Texas one is nice entry.

p_karetko, Glad to see you enter, but a little plain for me. Maybe some of the grass could have a cut look to it and a capital "G" to go with the "TT".

Hi everyone. Sorry I'm late, but here I am to announce the winner. First, let me say that I've been extremely impressed with the talent on this site. I've recommended this site to many. I think I'll be drawn to this site just to see your work.

As for the winner, I've chosen CBaker14. This can be moved to the revisions forum, where I hope I can have a few days to get back to you. Not much to have done, I just need a few days before I get the files and such.

Thanks again everyone!!! I'm hoping to get a logo for my small vending business towards the Fall when I have more time.

Hey Chris,

You remember the two colors schemes I liked, right? By the way, I have a dumb question for you. I'll be changing my phone # soon, so do I need to have a number in it now, or can the printer etc. easily add it? Thanks again.
