Hi to all Designers,

I'm looking for a Logo for my company website. The company is called Made To Measure Webservices. I've got the site in draft mode at the moment so that you can take a look at the work in progress (spelling mistakes and all). The site is currently not being advertised but I'm hoping to set up some links and publicise the site within 2 weeks and would need the Logo by then.

The link is MTM (http://www.mtm-webservices.co.uk)

I'll need somthing to replace the lemon. You'll see what I mean when you take a butchers at the site.

No real restrictions except that it needs to work with the grey background & theme and fit into the space currently occupied by the Lemon (174 x 130 pixels).

Good luck to all designers!

Thanks

John

Are you just looking for a pictoral representation of "Made to Measure", or are you looking for text to be incorporated into the design as well? I ask because it's relatively small space to design a logo for, and you have "Made to Measure" directly beside it anyway.

Please advise. Thanks!

Good Question...

A pictorial representation would be ideal I reckon to replace the Lemon. I'm also happy to change the 'Made to measure' Banner completely also to compliment the logo. It'd probably benifit from a face lift anyway!

Thanks

One more thing, if preferred, I can remove the picture placeholder (the lemon) and have a full width banner extending across the page width. The the 'Made to Measure' could occupy the full width.

Looking forward to seeing some ideas.

Just a symbol. I could add the text if you want to make a "header".

blackspot,

I like the idea, works OK on Grey also - No need to restrict the logo to incorporating the MTM letters - could also have something more abstract. Maybe a representation of a calliper, ruler, micrometer or other measuring device?

dynagirl,

Really like the idea, colors & layout. Just not sure about the tape measure. Any alternatives?

Cheers,

blackspot,

Like the idea! Could you try a few different color combinations? The Red and Blue work well but am not too sure about the red and orange? Maybe enhance the logo by having the 'To' and the vernier in differnt colors / textures?

I see waht I can do about making the changes, bust first...
Which one did you want the changes to? ;)

Ah :o , see what you mean!

I like the vernier on the 'M' - could the logo be MTM with the vernier on the m?

Wouldn't mind seeing one or two combinations of the banner also. Can't decide between the 'T' or 'M' for the full 'Made To Measure' - both are good.

Hope this make sense

I decided to work with this one because it also gives you the option of the "MTM" (the other one doesn't look as good like that).

Blackspot,

I like the way the design is going. Just not sure on the color scheme still. Do you fancy trying some different color schemes on the latestest designs?

Hello,
As usual as simple as possible. Hope you will like that enough to keep on working on it . All the best!

blackspot,

I'm not a design guru - but blues should work well with the grey?

Piotr,

Good fresh idea. Any chance of making a bit more detail out of the ruler scale (took me a while to twig - was just too minimalist for my cluttered brain)?

Blues...

Sometime it's easier to go my what you feel rather than what you know. I would've never done this, but I'm glad I did. I like it.

Hi Jenks

This is an adaptation of a logo I've had in the 'logo Sales' section of D.O. for a while http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/?showtopic=3004

Piotr, feel free to continue to develop the idea though if you wish... ;)

Hi Eagle,

Cool design. One thing more to ask - could you put together the logo with just the acronym MTM instead of the words Made to Measure so that I can see a 'compact' logo?

nice one  - Jenks

A quick message to everyone who has contributed to this competition so far or anyone thinking about having a go. I'll be away from the Internet for a few days now and won't be able to respond to messages - but will return on Wed 14th April.

As a target for choosing a winner, I'd really like to have something wrapped up by the end of next week - so it'll soon be everyone's last chance to put ideas forward!

I'm hoping to wrap this one up by the end of this week - anyone else got any more submissions before we close the comp?

Competition winner announced!

The winner is Eagle. The design is simple, clean and effective and looks good in both acronym and longhand form. The colors work well with my background greys also.

Many thanks to all competetors for your entries!

Hi Jenks,

Let me know what you need in terms of files. :)

Eagle,

Can you send me the .psd and I'll see if that's all I need. I'd like all the color combinations that you put on the examples both acronym and full length?

We'll only need to set up a revisions thing if I have any probs with the .psd files.

Many thanks

John

Hi Jenks

I'll supply the two versions in hi-res layered .PSD files (yellow 'crown' and tagline / gray main text)...the colours will then be easy to change to any version from those. (adjust brightness/contrast in each layer) :smart:

Won't be long :)
