Skate Faster Logo - $101.17

Hello Designers, repeat customer here, and couldn't be happier.

Looking for a logo for a new venture that I'm working on. Name of the Company is Skate Faster. We'll be teaching power skating to youth hockey players. I'd like something that depicts hockey, skating, and speed. I've found a logo that I like on an embroidery site (wish I bookmarked it!!) that is attached below to this message.

Requirements

Logo will be used (hopefully) on pucks, shirts, jackets, letterhead, business cards etc., so I'll need to logo in Vector format for proper scaling etc.

Additionally, a nice to have would be a .wmf version to use within MS Word etc.

Colors? Good question... I see the logo on both a white and a black background, but other than that.

I'd like to use the Logo in both Stand Alone, and with Text. Think Pepsi.. (the Pepsi circle thingy can stand alone and work with the PEPSI text next to it).

And I can't decide if Skate Faster is two words or just one.

Bill.. nice.. but.. I don't know.. to clip arty? I can't quite put my finger on why I don't like it.

Raja - nice start, right idea, I'm looking for a little more punch I think. And the Bauer font is a nice touch..although it might be lost on some people :blink:

Bill, I didn't mean to imply that it was not original, my apologies.

For clarification, I'm looking for something showing a whole player with the effect of speed or motion. I love the skate, it looks great.. I just need more..

Christian - I understand your idea, and while it does imply speed, it doesn't really say hockey to me.. not even with the stick as part of the logo.

Betz - I like your conecpts, particulary the solid ones toward the bottom of your samples. I'm not sure how, but I'd like to see less of the solid coloring behind the words, and some implication of speed or motion with the player. Does that makes sense?

Blackspot - nice start, perhaps a little more definition of the player?

piece of mind - I like the feel.. it shows motion, but looks more like a speedskater not so much like a hockey player.. can you hockey him up?

Paula23 - I like the feel of the motion in the first set, but I like the round black background on the second set. Perhaps take the first player, and put it in the second black round version. Without the orange SF puck??
