(Admin code added by Palmer - 2100843)

I am a realtor with Coldwell-Banker Kennon, Parker, Duncan, and Key. I would like a logo suitable for miscellaneous advertising and paperwork that has a primary slogan "Experience Southern HOUSEpitality!" I would like also a basic ad layout, adaptable to horizontal and vertical formats that has a secondary slogan, "Make a Good Move." I need space for my name, 2 lines of professional designations, and 3-4 lines of phone numbers, etc. I want everything to be very elegant, classic, and eye-catching. For color ideas (in additional to Coldwell-Banker blue) go to may company website www.kpdk.com for my photo, etc. Good luck, I am exited about seeing your ideas!!

Hello Bernice
Welcome to DO.

I want to work on your project, I've done thousands of RE ads over the years at the local paper here where I'm located. Got some questions:
1. You're requesting a logo. Is that just your name BERNICE BIAS, Realtor?
2. Is there color to be involved? Any art? Your Picture?
3. Does the Coldwell-Banker come into play anwhere.

On the ad
1. Horizontal - how many colums Classified or ROP? Color?
2 Verticle - how many colums Classified or ROP? Color?

would it be:
Experience Southern HOUSEpitality
Make a Good Move
(Any open space for listing(s)?)

Line 1
line2

your name (LOGO?)
3/4 lines of Phone #'s

Sorry for the questions, just need to be sure

Here is a first attempt to see if I am moving in the right direction...let me know what you think... I used a "southern" looking flower as the logo...

Bernice,
I tried a different layout per your request, I also changed the flower to a column, the column can be used on letterhead, business cards, envelopes, just about anything. I think it makes a good Identity for you, it implies stability, grace, and you see columns all over the south. Please let me know what you think about this layout...I also left some open space for any text you might want to add.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Bernice,
Better late than never? Any colors can be easily changed. The house on the second card is an actual home I illustrated for the weekly real estate section here in AZ.It's not clip art.
Thanks,Paula

Bernice,

MOZ asked a couple questions and I am curious about the answers as well. I would like to submit something, but am a little unclear about what you need.

I notice the other designers are designing calling cards for you; is that what you are looking for?

Thanks!
Carl...

Hi Bernice will post tonignt VERY hectic day!

Also here's the answers to my questions guys...hope it helps!

Thanks for your interest in my real estate ads! I would like a logo
that incorporates "Experience Southern HOUSEpitality"...that is the
focus of the advertising /name recognition campaign I want to run. The
actual name of the real estate company I work for is Kennon, Parker,
Duncan, and Key (it is a Coldwell -Banker franchise). Bernice Bias is just
my name.

You can get my photo from the company website: www.kpdk.com. The
Coldwell-Banker logo needs to be somewhere with the company name below
it...this can all be relatively small. My photo needs to be included. I
prefer "looking into the ad," put my photo on the left side.
Color accents may include Coldwell-Banker blue or not?? I would like a
southern-themed picture...I'm not a "flower person"... maybe a
plantation house or at least columns.

As for size, for horizontal: 3 column inches wide and 2 tall. In
vertical: the reverse, 2 tall and 3 wide. I do want color for most uses,
but the ad will also be used in black and white.

"Make a Good Move" is secondary, probably near the bottom /under the
phone numbers. No listing space is needed.

I want my name to stand out with 'Accredited Buyer Representative" and
"Graduate Realtor's Institute" on 2 lines below. I need a cell and fax
number, the company web address, and 2 lines for the office address. I
hope this isn't too much! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Bernice,

Here are two variations, one Vertical, one Horizontal. The picture may change slightly, but I wanted to post this so you could see layout and design.

They are slightly different because the information has to be formatted for the layout.

Bernice,

I found a better picture for this use. The other one had a wierd tree line which cropped off wrong.

Here are the updated files:

Re: Southern HOUSEpitality

This process is awesome! I truly enjoyed it and the decision was hard, but the designs from cadii really captured what I had in mind. Thanks to all who participated, but cadii in the winner!

Bernice,

Thanks for choosing my designs! :D I don't know if you have revisions, but I can take care of those for you - any color adjustments, text placement, etc.

The last images I posted are actually print ready now. I have attached a link to a zip file containing Illustrator, TIF, High Res JPEG and Low Res JPEG images.

You can download the ZIP file and whoever is printing the ads can use any of the high res images. Each publisher has different requirements, hence the multiple formats for you.

Also, if you would like, I can burn a CD for you and send it to the address in the ads.

But, just a reminder - if you want changes, let me know - I can do them and post the files tonight.

Hi, Carl,

I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond yet and I still won't be able to take the time today...let me know if that is a problem. I'm having a couple of problems with a contract that have to be worked out ASAP.

I must at least say, though, I prefer the first house and have even done a little
research about it. It is called Nottoway, if you didn't know, and is in White Castle, Mississippi. What I found out about it makes me like it even better!

For now, how might the design be simplified for postcards (not the address side) or for agent info at the bottom of property flyers (p robably in black- and white)? Don't worry, if I decide I want anything else, it will be VERY minor.

Thanks again,
Bernice

Bernice,

No problem getting you what you have asked for. Your price was more than adequate to cover some revisions and layout changes.

As far as the house, now that I know what it is called, I should be able to find better pictures to use. I will pull the zip file for right now and you and I can work through the final details until you are happy.

Good luck on finalizing the stuff you are working on. I am on your timeline here, not mine, so I will just post it up and when you are able, check in and we will go from there.

Carl... :)

Here are the reworked layouts with Nottoway in the picture. I reset the pic in the vertical layout so the tree line isn't wierd.

Carl,

I'm ready to get this wrapped up and I know you are too.

The more modern house will provide some variety, but I really like the plantation house. The trees don't bother me (and I'm usually very picky about cropping, etc.) and I like the dreamy, hazy quality of the 1st Nottoway photo. The vertical using it is perfect, except for my cell phone number, which is on my company website. There should be no appostrophe in "Graduate Realtors Institute," sorry, my mistake.

The horizontal will work well for business cards, but, what I really need is a variation of the horizontal that is simplified to make it suitable for the front of postcards. Maybe just the house photo, the slogan(s?), and my photo(?) and my name. the other info could be on the other side. I also like the photo serving as a background, as it partially does in the vertical layout.

Also, could you suggest a very simplified variation to use as letterhead on flyers, notepads, fax coversheets, etc.

Thank you for your time & effort!
Bernice

Bernice,

I will work on a package for you based on your last requests and have something posted tonight (5/7) to look at. Once you are ok with it, I will post a Zip file with all the artwork.

*Added*

I have the layouts for you to look at. The pictures will look a little fuzzy, but when they print they will be perfect. I tried to reduce the file size so they would load quickly for you.
