Hi, everyone!
We are opening a 3D/4D Fetal ultrasound facility in Charlotte. Our logo is complete although I'm not sure I REALLY like it. What we need to work on now is the stationary: Business Card, Letterhead and envelope.
I am looking for something that is innovative, savvy but yet still soft. I do not want an 'in your face' type of design.
Take a look at the website (that too will change soon!) and see what we do. For those who are curious...4D is GE's version of 3D in motion.
I'll give a $30 bonus if we can come up with something by Monday, the 10th.
I'm excited and looking forward to this.
BTW, I have attached our logo.

I'll give this a try...by the way my wife and I are expecting in Sept and we are in Charlotte, NC too...we may have to come and try out this service.

sounds good...I'll be posting something for you tomorrow, getting ready to hit the sack...:)

Missy,
Just a note. If you are not sure you "Really" like your logo, then why not add some money here and get everything done. We had a contest for a 3D ultrasound logo and package design before (link below). I think the contest holder was very pleased with the result and he received a great response.
That way you can get the logo you truly love and your identity materials will be a constant reminder of how much you love your new logo! :)

Speaking of which...
I'm in. ;)

I agree!!
Missy,
One other thing. For the materials, I know your website has contact information, but could you tell us the information (you can use XXXX for numbers for privacy) that you would like used on the materials.
*Address
*PHone
*Fax
*website
*email
*geographic landmarks for address (if necessary)
This info helps with layout and balance, making sure enough room is given for all the appropriate information.
Thanks!
Carl...

Good morning, everyone. I appreciate your feedback on the logo and I would completely argee but unfortunately, a lot of money has already been put into this logo; ie. signage, postcards, ect. I don't dislike it but I just wish I had found you guys/gals a bit earlier. I think I would have come out happier in the end. Sometime in the future, I may come back and we can work on the logo.
Carl, interesting you should point out Innerview...Joe is the one that told me about Designoutpost. He's very pleased with the end result and as well he should be.

MOZ,
Great start. I'm impressed already. I am having trouble seeing the company name on the letterhead. Can we change all writing to yellow that is in the black background?
On the business card...one big thing I forgot to add as a necessity was name and title...
Use mine: Missie Davis, President
I like the black background card. The white looks too corporate for me. I want things to be different so I like the black. Do you think we could put an ultrasound image on the back of the card that is like what you see on the website gallery?
Fantastic!

Missie here is my first attemt...I used the colors from your logo in the card and stationary...I did two cards, one with a background color and one without...wasn't sure which one I liked best...let me know what you think...
Thanks,

Chris,
FANTASTIC! I love it!
Could you pull in the blue 'swoop' on the letterhead? I like it a lot but I'm not sure how easy it will be for people to read text over it. Have you done this type before and if so, how easy it is to read text?
The cards are wonderful. I'm truly impressed. I have no idea how much something like that will cost to produce but it sure does get attention and that's what I'm looking for. I need a WOW without the smack in the face and I think you captured it. I'm like you though, I'm not sure if I like the background on the card or not. I think I like it but it takes the clarity out of the baby...can we sharpen the baby up any on the background? Also, could you blend the line a little from the picture into the card so it doesn't look so square?
If I'm asking impossibilites, tell me and we'll go a different direction.
Thanks for the work so far...it looks great!
Missie
Here's the revision
I edited out all the white space between the letterhead so you can see it better
it's the top & bottom

I will make those changes for you...may be in the morning be fore I repost them tho..if thats cool...I'll really try for tonight tho.
As for the letterhead...I can take the ble/yellow of the swoop and drop the transparency on them (it is low now) and that should relieve any readability problems...I have done this type before and it can work:)...
I'll also play with the card...
Post soon...

Moz,
Very, very nice...It's a different direction than I would have thought to go but I like it a lot. I have no idea how this would look but what are your thoughts of a watermark on the letterhead? I wouldn't want the logo in more than one place but what about keeping the name up top but adding the logo onto the body of the letterhead as a watermark?
What are you thoughts??
Thanks for your efforts.

Missie...
Here is a revision...I added more white space to the letterhead...and "ghosted" the blue and yellow down so readability should not be a problem...I also added a "curve" to the business card too...and I took the color from the background of the bottom one for comparison...
Let me know what you think...

Missie,
I just noticed the curve looks greyish, at least on my PC, in reality it is not...It is just a different value of the same blue in your logo...Just wanted to let you know that...
Chris
Here's the watermark
It can be lighter or darker - bigger or smaller

Thanks!
You guys are making this difficult! Now I know where I'm coming to have my brochure and website re-done!

Hi, Chris,
Sorry I'm slow to respond to you but I've been putting some thought into your design this morning.
I agree that the card looks gray where you blended it, at least on the monitor. Also, I like all the elements you have put on the card but I don't want it to look busy. What about trying the logo on the back (instead of the front) with the website address or something of that nature? Do you have some other thoughts?

well a card that isnt exactly rectangular...maybe one end is rounded out to fit your logo....that was just an example...

I'm not crazy about the dye-cut. Let's go back to the original style. So, let's move forward with moving the logo to the back with the website addy.

Chris!
I like this so much better and I don't know how because the first design was awesome!
I like the front of the first set and the back of the second set. All I would change would be to put my email on the front of the card and on the back move the website addy to the bottom. If you will, put these together so that I can see them and I'll leave you alone.
FANTASTIC!
Thank you so much. I'll be making a decision later on tonight.

Guys,
The reason you haven't heard from me is that I COULDN'T decide. But after looking at it a hundred times, I have chosen Moz' designs. Moz, let's tweak these just a bit before you finalize them...
Chris, I was so impressed with your design and when I polled folks it literally was a split decision. Thanks for all your work. When you and your wife come in, I'll give you 25% off plus I'll throw in all the options like DVD, CD, BabyPeeks for free.
ElKootcho, thank you so much for your entry. You did fabulous work but I think these guys already had me going in a different direction when I received your post.
The brochure will probably be coming in for redesign soon. I would love it if all three of you would please submit. I couldn't lose if that happens.
Best wishes.
Thanks Missie

I love the letterhead in blue. I don't like the card in blue though...keep the slogan but color looks better black.
Could you send in .eps and .jpeg, please?
Great
Yes I'll get those off to you soon. I'll send you an email link for download. I'm still going to send you a CD all set up for you to take to the printer all art, fonts & such. I always do this that way I know that you and your printer will have what is needed.
