Potter Packaging Inc. Logo Contest
Winner takes a whopping $70 :tup:

Background:
Potter Packaging Inc is a brand new company which supplies consumer & commercial packaging (boxes, point of purchase displays, tape, bubble wrap, etc)

Colors:
The company colors are not set in stone yet. Possibilities include a blue and green combination, however we are open to any creative colors and suggestions.

Usage:
We would like to use this logo on letterheads, envelopes, website logo, vehicle magnets, postcards and any other media you could think of. :P

Preferences:
-> We would like a professional look. No cartoon graphics.
-> We would like the logo to have more of a horizontal shape (not too tall).
-> We would like a graphic to be incorporated into the logo.

Deadline:
Two weeks - April 21st

Your submission is nice, however, we would like to stray away from the typical "box" logo. We don't mind a 3-d cube in the logo, so long as it's something abstract/unique.

john is heading in the right direction (horizontally long with graphic a little bigger than font). I think the box is a little too abstract (free-handed drawing). I definetly like the box without the P. We really dont have a tagline yet, but it would be nice to leave room for one if wanted.

j-design, i like the font for the company name. As mentioned above, lets move away from the P box.

cr8tor, the graphic is a little too bulky, however the font is good. that logo would make a nice looking business card.

My thoughts:
I'm thinking a 4 cube wall that has some spacing between the cubes. The wall would have a face, facing southwest. Or how about a single cube that has floating walls (none of the walls are attached). I think we would like something that is not so traditional. Hope this info helps. :blink:

What we do like so far:
We like wwwzone & chelle latest entries, with chelle's getting closer to our desired look.
We like the texture effect. It makes it stand out and doesnt look so plain.
The orange & blue is a nice color combo and we would like to see more in that color.

Thanks everyone for their submissions. Your great work has made it that much harder to narrow it down to the ones we like. We have decided that orange & blue (thanks chelle) will be the official colors. I apologize for the long length of time between posts.

The logo's we like so far in alpha order:

chelle: we like the set of logos (one with the full page and small card). Is it possible to make the cubes perfect in shape? They seem to vary in size and have different angles. Maybe have the "Packaging" font size the same size as the "r in Potter".

El Kootcho: we like the idea of the floating walls of the cube. can you remove the cube in the middle and have all 6 walls floating? Would like to see in orange and blue.

huhhso: We like the box graphic, but are not too sure about the P coming out. Also, we definetly don't like the box lid above the ING.

ondarox: we like the bottom logo, maybe a different color scheme instead of the grey and black.

wwwzone: we like the first set (top left). Lets try with the orange and blue. Also love that datawan logo you did :tup:

Again, thanks for all the effort you guys/gals have put in.
As soon as the logo is finished, we will probably be heading over to the template forums. :lol:

chelle, i like the color and fading on the first set of cubes. The positioning of cubes in first set was perfect. What i meant by alignment was the angles on the faces of cubes.

I've attached an example of what i mean:

Line 1 represents the angle it should be, which would make it parallel to Line 2. Line 3 would make it parallel to both 1 & 2. Hope this makes sense. :lol:
